Help me out ladies...
What ideas do you all have for gifts for your groom? It doesn't need to be Disney related. I know the most popular gift tends to be a watch, but I was looking for something different. Everyone on here is so creative!
Thanks :worship:

I got DH a GPS as a wedding gift. I knew he wanted one, plus I figured it would come in handy for our honeymoon or any other trip we took together from there on out as Husband and Wife.

Mine got a watch from me on for our actual Wedding, but is getting a Husky Puppy for my VR Gift to him.

I am buying mine a Movado. He's been dying for a good watch that won't fall apart on him and I figured that Costco had a great price so I got it for him.

I bought him the Final Fantasy XIII xbox (although he already got it) and for the day-of, I bought him cuff links with the Xbox logo

I gave mine the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I knew it was something he'd never do on his own and that he wouldn't spend the money on himself. He loved it.

I got my DF a desk clock/frame that is engraved with "Yours Til the end of time..." and then it is personalized on the bottom with "Love, Lori 5.23.2010" so he can have a momento of the wedding day.

I also got him a hand embroidered handkerchief as I know he will cry from etsy that says "Today a Bride, Tomorrow a Wife, Forever your friend, I'll love you for life. Love, Lori."

I gave DH cuff links the day of our wedding, which he wore to the ceremony. I also paid for him to go to Disney Quest.

If your groom is like most guys, he wears a sports-type watch most of the time. Gift him with a thinner, more elegant model to wear at your wedding and when you dine out on your honeymoon. The elegant Movado Classic Stainless Steel Watch with black leather strap is such a classic that it's in the Museum of Modern Art's design collection.

I got DH Groom boxer shorts to wear on the day, then bought him the Partners Statue reproduction from the Art of Disney store.

For our anniversary I am taking him for lunch with an imagineer at DHS, and he is buying me the Beauty and the Beast glass rose in the case

My DF doesn't wear a watch much - he just looks at his blackberry (grrr) but a nice dress watch to wear on the day may be a nice idea. I bought him a Garmen watch last year for Christmas because he's a runner - that's why I was looking for something a bit different.
I also like the driving experience idea - or a rental of a nice sports car for a day.
I can't pay for anything at Disney - he's such a gentleman that he won't let me pay for things so I would have to pre-pay without him knowing.
Keep the great ideas coming - and thanks! :cool1:

I second the puppy idea.

I thought long and hard and couldn't come up with anything I thought DH would want more than a puppy. So our photographers took pictures ahead of time, and we wrapped them with the collar in a superman wedding box.

I was planning on making my fiancee an album of pictures together with little captions saying the reasons why I love him.

I think I might use snapfish or something like that to do the pictures.

I haven't decided what I will get him as a surprise on the day of our wedding, but right after our rehearsal I plan to give him the book "Love in the Time of Chloera" with my name and phone number written on the inside cover.

That's the book that John Cusack's bride-to-be gives him right after their wedding rehearsal in Serendipity....only it has Sara's (Kate Beckinsale) name and number on the inside cover.

We absolutely love that movie so I think he will be touched by the gift....and when he opens it to see MY name and number are on the inside cover, he will know that I am the one he is destined to be with.....

Ohhh - I love that movie too. What a great idea seeing as you both enjoy the film! popcorn::

Oh yeah, with my hubby's puppy(which will wait to get when we come home from VR & DCL Familymoon), I will be getting him a New Orleans Saints Dog Collar, Leash, and Food Bowls, as well as Boston Red Sox ones for the puppy. Those he has expressed the most interest in.

For my DF my gift will be a golf day at one of the Disney courses with his Dad and Brother-in-Law the day before the wedding. DF is an avid golfer and he has not played at Disney before. He will love it and it will give him some great time with his Dad which he doesn't get to do often enough. I am also going to get him a new titanium driver golf club as he broke his recently, as long as he does not beat me to it.
