Grocery stores in Va Beach? xpost

We're staying in a timeshare in Va Beach and I wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a grocery store in the area. We'll have a full kitchen and plan on eating at least breakfast and lunch in the room every day.

I think we went to Big Kmart last time we were there but I wonder if there are better grocery stores available.

Just got back from VA Beach last week. Atlantic Avenue is very long, I want to say 38 blocks? So if you can narrow it down a bit, that would help. I don't think there are any grocery stores on Atlantic Avenue but I could be wrong. I am really only familiar with the 17th block to the 36th block, because that's as far as we would walk in our daily travels. There are quite a few mom and pop type stores but you will be paying a high price for groceries there!

There is a Farm Fresh, I don't know exactly how to get there, but it's not far. Groceries are pricey there. If it was me, I would get groceries a few exits before the boardwalk (Atlantic Ave area) at a Walmart or something. Everything is expensive within walking distance of Atlantic Ave. There is a Subway and a McDonalds and a Wendys around the 22nd block, but other than that..we are talking $24 for two pizzas AFTER a $6 off coupon.

There is a Harris Teeter off of Laskin Road and a Trader Joe's on Laskin. The Trader Joes is behind the Outback Steakhouse.

ajk- I think we're staying around 22nd street. Is there a Super Walmart with groceries nearby?
