Grocery Store near WDW

We are staying at a DVC property in June and would like to pick up some groceries. We usually go to the grocery store right outside Disney Marketplace, but they are really expensive. Is there another grocery store or even a Wal-Mart close or on the way from the airport?

The nearest Publix is on International Drive. Not far as the crow flies, but to get there you have to get on Vineland and circle around, about 7 miles or so, not what you have in mind I'm sure.

I think the nearest regular Supermarket to Disney property is a Winn Dixie at 11957 S. Apopka/Vineland Road (SR 535), about 3 lights north of the intersection with Hotel Plaza Blvd. (about a mile or so north of Goodings.)

If you want to stop on the way from the airport, I've heard a lot of people use Albertsons at 12981 S. Orange Blossom Trail (Orange Blossom Trail exit from SR 417).

I don't blame you for wanting to find an alternative to Goodings. I walk in there and my wallet starts to whimper.

Thanks so much. We drove around quite a bit on our last trip and didn't see any supermarkets except Goodings.

There is also a Walmart SuperCenter at 3250 Vineland Road in Kissimmee that isn't too far away. Near Osceola Parkway and Vineland Road. If you prefer Super Target they are just a bit further down on 4795 W Irolo Bornson Mmemorial Hwy (US 192).

I used the store locater on Walmart and Target's websites and the zipcode for our resort 32830 in Lake Buena Vista to find these with maps and directions. Hope this helps.

If you go the the same intersection as Goodings and make a left instead of going straight to goodings, travel about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile there is a Winn Dixie on the right. It has good prices. I always do my grocery shopping there when I go to disney.

We have been to the Winn-Dixie and the WalMArt, both are easy to find. Further down the road from the WalMart is a grocery store, but I don't remember the name. It wasn't full service like the SuperWalMart someone else talked about, but it was a large grocery store. If you exit from WDW by the Marketplace, you turn right. Go under the bridge and watch on the right for WalMart, left for the other grocery store. I want to say it was a Publix, but can't be sure.

Try driving down 192 just outside WDW. There's a Publix just a few miles away heading west. There's also a bunch of other stores and restaurants near there. The Walmart is east on 192.

We stay off-site and within 5 miles of our time-share there's plenty of shopping and places to eat.
