We have always used ME for our transportation to/from the airport. We have a trip planned for Oct and we are thinking about using Fl tours towncar transportation for the grocery stop since we will have a full kitchen at our resort. My husband is particular about certain grocery items so I was wondering if we get to pick the grocery store and is there a Whole Foods Store or something along those line? TIA

The grocery store probably would be the Publix at Williamsburg or the one on Universal. If you want something different you might mention it. There are no whole foods store close to the route you will be taken to WDW.

If you've heard of WeGoShop, I believe they will go to Whole Foods for you. (You can check out their website. You pay them to do your grocery shopping and deliver the stuff to your hotel. I believe they will even go to 2 different stores for an extra fee.)

Instead of using a car service you could rent a car for one day. That'll let you shop in any store(s) you want.

A car service is going to limit a free grocery stop to a store that's "on the way". You can request a stop at any store you like, just be willing to pay extra. Towncars typically cost around $50/hour (3 hr minimum) A rental car or grocery stop will be more economical but a car service will probably do it (extra $50?)

Thanks for the info. I will check out Wego Shop to see if that is a better solution.

The Tiffany Towncar driver told me that they will go anywhere. They'll take you to Sea World. They'll take you to Universal. You just have to call the office and arrange it.

So if you want to do the shopping yourself, at Whole Foods, on the way from the airport, you could call Tiffany Towncar and ask if they'll accommodate you.

Don't book online and assume that this will qualify as the grocery stop which is included in the price. But call and ask if you can do this, and ask how much they'll charge.

According to wholefoods.com, there is a store at 8003 Turkey Lake Rd, Phillips Crossing, Orlando 32819.

There is a Whole Foods Store, I watched it being built but didn't know what products it carried, on the corner of Turkey Lake and Sandlake Road. That is convenient to Universal, but not to WDW and Sea World. Many companies will probably charge you to make that stop if you are going to WDW or Sea World.

Can you tell me more about the Tiffany towncar experience you had. We are looking for transportation from WDW to Universal for two days. We have 6 people so a taxi is out. I appreciate your help in advance. :)

I asked my Tiffany Towncar driver if they go places other than between the airport and hotels. He said they'll take you anywhere. I asked about Sea World, and he said sure. I said what if you have more than 4 people. He said no problem. So I would think they could handle what you want.

I believe he said there are 3 company-owned vehicles and 7 independent contractors who have their own vehicles.

He said to call the office to arrange it. The phone number is on their website.

So far we've only used them between the airport and hotels, but we've been very happy.

Thanks so much for the help. I just checked out their website and it looks like we'll need a van and they can take us to Universal. :) I know. Sounds terrible-staying in Disney and heading to Universal but that's what we're doing!

A taxi IS NOT out of the question for you. There are van taxis that hold up to 9 persons for the same price as any other taxi. And, any driver would be happy to stop at whole foods for you. Yes the meter keeps running, but all the hype about free grocery stops in a Town Car is just that, HYPE. In a Town Car/Limo you pay for the time, not the distance, or the location. Since it is normally a 30 min. drive to WDW from MCO, you have 30 min to make the grocery stop YOU GET NOTHING FOR FREE, that just fills the hour you paid for.

Simply go to the lower level at MCO ask for a Yellow Cab taxi van which holds 7 passenger plus luggage easily. Tell the driver you need to go Beach Line to Turkey Lake/Sand Lake Whole Foods then to OKW. You will be glad you did and get the drivers card and book the return trip in advance.
