Grocery Shopping through DVC

Hi there,
I was wondering how shopping though the DVC grocery list compares to shopping with the other grocery services? Is it more expensive? We used a different grocery service when we went a few times ago and the end total was WAY more than I was expecting it to be--and then they kept hounding me over and over, dropping hints and such, that tip was not included. What should have been an $80.00 shopping trip was $120.00 plus an added fee because we went over the $100 mark (they bought more expensive versions of things it seems to do this) and then the houding for a tip. Anyway, sorry for that rant--I am interested in using a grocery service again but I didn't know what any experiences were with the DVC shopping list.

Thoughts?
Thanks!
Heidi

You can look at the Garden Grocery website and compare the prices to the DVC list which you can print off on the DVC Member Website and do the comparison. I tried the Disney Grocery order on my last trip and I was pleased. When I check into my room my groceries were there and put away. It was very convenient. I plan on doing the same thing for my next trip. I don't cook much so having hot dogs, grilled cheese, spaghetti, frozen pizza, breakfast food, milk, juice and snacks is all I need.

We have always used WeGoShop. They do not have preset prices for the items that you order. They shop for whatever you request. They present you with the actual receipt from the store and you pay the actual price plus a delivery fee. You can even tell them what store you prefer for them to shop. We have always been pleased with their service.

As I remember the Disney shopping list was limited to what they carry in the store at the resort. We used garden grocer and were pleased with the selection and prices.

It is much cheaper to go to Publix or a convenience store. If you have a car you will be able to find supermarkets at various locations of of I-4, 194 and Intl Drive. In fact, Walgreens have small supermarkets in them and they have good prices.

If I remember correctly the items on the DVC list can be found at the hotel store. It was the same stuff. So, if you really needed something you could just go to hotel store. Also, the stuff was just processed or frozen type food. The fruit didn't look that great to me. Anyways, if you use gardengrocer you'll know the price when you select the item.

I tried printing out the order form but the print is so small. How will they be able to read what I have chosen? Is there a way to make it larger or is it because their is so much on it?
:confused3
