Do you shop once a week? Same day each week?

Once a month...or what? <img src="http://members.aol.com/wishydoo/images/t8.gif">

We used to shop regularly, same day each week.
Now we seem to shop for food less frequently, but buy more when we do. If we run out of something in between...then we pop over to the store for "just a few things".

We have a routine. DH and I shop together every Saturday morning. We go early (7:30 or so) to avoid the crowds. Works well for us.

I go meat shopping every four months and fill up my large freezer. I spend about $300 for all this meat and then only have to hit the grocer for the side dishes etc.

I shop everyday if I need something. but I also work in the meat dept. so I'm there at least 6 days a week, especially in the summer.

I plan to make a big grocery store run to the mega mart on Thursday afternoons. I usually end up going to the smaller neighborhood store another time or two each week. I would like to decrease the number of trips, but when buying items such as salad in a bag, it's much better fresh.

Absolutely no routine at all. I go when we need stuff. Generally, though, I buy veggies/fruit at a farm market, meat at a supermarket or Cosco and bread in a bakery. So I'm all over the place and may go once a week or once a month depending on our needs.

Right at the moment, I can't think of the last time I really did a complete grocery shopping.

Every Sunday night for the major shopping, and little trips for stuff we need in between.

Once every two weeks, usually on a Wednesday. I make 2 trips into the store, the first one for my big items bottled water, pop, diapers etc., and the second for the actual groceries.

My dh & I go on Sat. morning usually with my 2 dgrdd's and my 2 ds. We all (6 of us) head over to the store about 8:30 a.m. to get it done. I didn't have so many kids with me when the kids were all young. My dgrdd's arrive at my house at 8 a.m.

I'm a weekly shopper on Fridays after work ( 3:pm). But I do extra shopping when needed for pet items, usually at Agway or pet stores.

We have no pattern whatsoever... we just go when we need stuff.

I go Fri. night for the weekend junk food, Mon. morning for the week & usually end up in the store once or twice more for fresh rolls or produce or things I forgot. :D

During the school yr when I work Wed nights and have Wed morns off I grocery shop every other Wed morn. On the other Wed morns I clean house.
During the summer I work Tu-F days. Grocery shop on Mondays.

Of course I go for fruits & veggies whenever I run out since I started eating lowfat/low sodium May 19th.

Just 2 adults & kitty. Grocery store is in next town.

We used to go every 3-4 wks - and really stock up. Then just pick up fresh stuff when needed when running out to get a movie.

But, now.... I can't even remember the last time we've really been to do a complete stock up. ???? I haven't been in the cooking mood. We've been eating out or getting take out alot. And my neighbors have spoiled me....they keep bring food over. :D

I find we don't spend as much....but I'm forced to use up what's in the cabinet....rather than shopping when we really could wait some more. Even the take-out food route seems to be a money saver for us. ???? (creative ways - coupons / deal days)

However.....we are getting REALLY low on most stuff....and today... I am FORCED to go to the store to REALLY stock up.

I go twice a month, whatever day I'm off in the evening when my husband can stay home with the kids so I can get it done. I cannot take my kids grocery shopping. They can go when I am just picking up something for dinner that night, but when I try to take them to do the big shopping, my bill goes up by 100.00 dollars. This is why. Imagine 2, 3 year olds in a cart with a 6 year old pushing it and I'm pushing the other cart trying to look for deals, trying to keep them from putting EVERYTHING they see in the cart, trying to keep my sanity. It just doesn't work. Pretty soon, I am just trying to get out of there and just putting anything in the cart, regardless of price.

no routine here. When I run out of several things-I go shopping.
I never shop at the same store and I don't use coupons.

I usually do a big grocery shopping every two weeks with smaller trips to the store in between for fresh bread, milk and veggies. I do not go on any particular day, just when it fits into my schedule.

I prefer to shop early on Saturday mornings if I can to avoid crowds. I try to get all my shopping done then. I plan out my meals and only buy what I have on my list unless its something that is a given, like milk or bread. I do all my grocery shopping at Wal Mart unless I run out of something. Then its just easier to run into Kroger for it. I do watch the ads for Kroger and buy some things there when they have their two for one sales. And I do use coupons but only for brands that I use.

We go every two weeks and usually on the weekend (Fri, Sat or Sun). We're heading off in a few minutes actually. We only pick up milk and other essentials through the week when we run out. We go to an ultra supermarket so we can get it all there. I wish we had internet shopping in our area though, but we live too far out to do that. Even so I think I would still like to pick my own meat and stuff!
