Grocery Service

Has anyone had groceries delivered to the villas?

If so what service did you use and how far in advanced did you order the groceries?

We shopped at local Publix stores on our way to WDW. On the last day, however, we took a tour or the BCV. The guide pointed out that DVC is offering to help purchase your groceries. He said it wasn't really much more than shopping on your own. I don't know if it's true, but I thought I'd pass along the info. I do know that we had a very hard time finding the new Publix neat the Gaylord resort. It really isn't well marked. We spent over 25 minutes just looking for it! In addition to gas and wasted time, maybe ordering once you arrive is OK.

We pre-ordered groceries on our last trip to BWV. I faxed the order in on Tuesday afternoon for a Saturday arrival.

I put down that we would arrive at 6:30pm. We made it to the room at about 6:20, and the groceries arrived at 6:35.

No complaints, and I'm sure we will do it again next time.

Thanks for the information. We normally do not rent a car when we go to WDW so I was wondering how this service was. I went to the DVC website and did not see a grocery list for BCVs. Hoping that Disney just hasn't updated website yet. Thanks again.

We ordered from Netgrocer online about 5 days before arrival. We had a two bedroom last February for 9 days at BWV and bought groceries for the entire week. We brought a soft cooler of frozen meat and cold cuts for the entire week, and all we had to buy at the BWV store was milk, butter, and eggs. We saved a ton of money and got all the ideas from these forums.

Netgrocer is cheaper than DVC, the delivery in several large to medium boxes was held by BWV for two days (they arrived early) and were delivered to our room within 10 minutes of our cresting the doorway of the room. The person who delivered it to our room wouldn't even take a tip.

This worked out great for us!
