Thought I'd ask my fellow Canadians a few questions, if you don't mind. We're planning on ordering water, milk, juice etc from Garden Grocer and having it delivered to our room before we get there.
Now my question is, when flying from Ontario to Orlando, are we able to have dried foods in one of our luggage (not carry on). I'm thinking of packing cereal, snacks, granola bars etc for breakfasts into our checked luggage. Is this allowed or is it alot of hassel at the airport?

I have packed stuff in my packed luggage and had no problems at all.

I usually take cereals in our checked baggage. We don't really like the selection at the Disney resort stores.

I also take granola bars in my carryon for snacks.

Yes for sure take stuff that's easy to pack and cheap to bring. I took the nestea/crystal light individual flavour thingys in my luggage for the bottles of water I ordered from garden grocer.
You can buy milk from the store onsite easy enough I wouldn't order that from garden grocer. Also, the oranges are no cheaper from garden grocer than at the store either so not worth it in advance. Plus the grapes at the counter service you can use as a snack coupon and you get a huge container.....enough to share for sure.
I think that garden grocer is good for water cases, yogourt/cottage cheese and some stuff you can't get here in canada but otherwise I wouldn't bother. We will not be ordering again this time....with the dining plan we really don't need all that extra and what we need I will just buy there. My family members might order wine/beer from them ... I guess that is cheaper than buying at disney but I don't drink so that's no biggie for me either.
fun fun the planning is the best!!

We had no issues at all on our last trip packing cereal, granola bars, juice boxes, etc. Considering the small boxed cereal at the food court was $3.99 I think - packing cereal is a great $$ saver. I only wish I had packed enough cereal to get my through the trip - cost me another $25 as we had run out.

I bought milk every 1-2 days from the food court and put it in a collapsable cooler we packed from home. I filled it with ice and kept the juice boxes and milk in it and put it in the tub - I had to refill with ice before bedtime, but it was alsway cold - something to think about instead of the additional charge to have a fridge in your room....$10 a day I believe

for others thinking about garden grocer, there is a $40 min purchase, i wanted to buy just a case of water and a case of pop, didn't meet the min

I have used gardengrocer a few times now and plan to for all of our WDW trips. We order milk, butter, juice, water, bananas, deli stuff (cheese and meat), bread, yogurt, hot chocolate (when we were there in January), nuts, baby carrots, celery sticks, granola bars, cereal and more. Delivery is always on time and the fresh stuff arrived in excellent condition. The bananas were blemish and bruise free...I could not have picked out better stuff if I was in the store myself! We've packed leftover cereal, granola bars, microwave popcorn and a few other dry things in our checked luggage to bring home without any problems. There should be no problems with dry food in your checked luggage, as long as your bags don't end up overweight.
You can order cereal and loads of other items in travel sizes here:

Food, drink mixes, coffee, laundry stuff, hygiene products and their prices are very reasonable. Free shipping for $20 minimum order. Prices are way less than what you pay in the resort shops. (eg. individual pkg/bowl of cheerios is 55¢).

The delivery charge for orders under $200 is $12, so it would not have been cost effective for a case of water and a case of pop. A while ago you used to be able to sign up at Staples and get water delivered for free, but I think they have changed their policy - all I could see on their site was free delivery for orders over $50. I guess for just water and pop, if you don't have a rental car available to go offsite to shop, you are kinda stuck paying the higher prices.
:confused3
