Who is the best company to use to have groceries delivered to our hotel room?

We used Amazon Prime Now on our most recent trip and were happy, especially since the minimum purchase is about half of what it is using Garden Grocer. That said, we've used Garden Grocer and been happy with them as well. We've also used Orlando Grocery Express and would use them again too.

The best company to use for grocery delivery is the one that has the groceries you want. If you're after a certain type of yogurt, for instance, maybe only one grocery delivery service has it. Amazon Prime Now, to my knowledge, does not deliver alcohol, so if that's something you'd like to order, you won't want Amazon. If they all have everything you'd want to order, I'd pick whichever was cheapest.

We used the delivery service from Publix and it was awesome! We were able to communicate with our shopper while she was in the store and we knew exactly when she was pulling up to the resort. She offered to bring our groceries up to our room, but we just did it ourselves. One thing we ordered was a BOGO free and she grabbed another one to take advantage of the sale. The whole experience from ordering, quality and delivery was A++++ :yay:

Oh yeah, she also told me they deliver alcohol lol

Do you have to be present with the delivery service from Publix? I stayed in a cabin at Ft. Wilderness several years ago and used Garden Grocer. I was supposed to arrive around 5 pm, but my flight was delayed several hours and didn't arrive until about 8 pm---when I arrived at my cabin all the groceries were already there with the cold stuff in the fridge and everything.

I will be staying at a cabin again this January and my flight should land around 8:30 am, but I know my cabin my not be available until much later in the afternoon. If I order through Publix/instacart, would the delivery person be able to drive right up to my cabin to deliver the groceries, or would I need to meet them in the front entrance of Fort Wilderness? Do the groceries arrive in bags? Just trying to picture how I'd get them all back to my cabin, especially if they place me in one of the far away loops like 2300.

I have never thought to use Publix. We have always used Prime. Thanks for the additional thought!

You do have to be there. They have so many delivery windows, that you could order when you landed and have it in a few hours. They come in paper bags, i'm not sure how it works with being in the cabins. The front gate would probably let them in to deliver. Can you drive a car up to your cabin (we've never stayed there), if so i don't see why they couldn't drive to you.

You're welcome!

Thanks for the info!
Yes, guests who are staying at the cabins can drive a car in and there is even a dedicated parking spot in front of each cabin. We won't have a car with us, so if the Fort allows the delivery person to drive to my cabin, the delivery person could just park in my spot.
