looking for reasonable grocery delivery for our Disney trip in August. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I heard Publix instacart was reasonable

We have used Garden Grocer and Publix. Garden Grocer is top notch, great customer service, communication etc. We tried instacart this last trip and it was very good too. Larger selection, somewhat lower price, good communication - we had notification while the "shopper" was picking things up that an item was not available. We were able to select an alternate and it came. Shopper made one mistake with apples - bought the wrong type. Also with instacart, if you order alcohol you must be there to meet the delivery and show ID, not so with GG as you email/fax in your ID. Both worked out fine. You absolutely will not be disappointed with GG, but with Publix you get a little larger choice of items at a lower cost, and perhaps a less sophisticated shopper - instacart is sort of an "Uber" type business. You sign up to be a shopper. Don't know how GG does their shopping, but they have delivered 100% on what they said they would. Still, Tough call.

We have used Garden Grocer several times and they provide excellent service. We keep a favorites list on our account which makes it really easy to place an order for our trips. We generally spend over $200, so the delivery fee is only $2, instead of the usual $14. We also place our order 60 days prior to our arrival day, so we get a 10% discount (7% at 30 days, 5% at 15 days). Their prices are a little inflated, but we don't care, since it fits with the theme of a Disney vacation!:rotfl2: We did not receive an item once and they brought it the next day. As Spartan86 pointed out, they can deliver beer/wine without needing you to be there to receive the delivery, as long as they have your drivers license on file. WeGoShop and some of the newer options offer a wider variety, but I like the simplicity of GG's pick list. We go to Disney to escape the real world, so we tend to avoid going off site, although many do that either with a rental car, taxi or Uber. If you only need a few things, the DVC grocery order list may be the easiest option.

GG may be worth your while if you meet the $200 minimum order for free delivery. I think they provide exceptional service and the convenience is well worth it to me. We do some meals in our unit and I always have plenty of snack food available too. If you eat most meals out, a simple order from Disney may be enough for your needs.
