Grocery delivery

Forgive me if this has been asked recently! We leave for DLH next Monday. With no continental breakfast, we are planning in eating in the room all days but our character breakfast. We are driving from AZ and don't have room to pack a bunch of groceries. I also don't really want to make a trip to the store after 10 hours in the car

I've heard Vons delivers. Can anyone tell me how this works? How early can I order (like this week and schedule delivery)? My toddler needs lactose free milk and such to be happy

Also is there a limit you how much can buy in order to have it delivered like for example ordering water, soda & snacks only? & is there a delivery fee and how much?

I LOVE the Von's delivery, if you're staying at a Resort hotel they will hold it at the baggage/luggage and refrigerate any perishables, I've never done it off-site but I know they will deliver to the other GN hotels. I ordered today for our stay on Sat at GCH. You can make the order as early as now, but I would suggest submitting it about 4 days before just to make sure the items are available. If it's your first order it's FREE and you can sign up for a Vons/Safeway Rewards Card with your account and they will honor certain online coupons.

We sometimes stop at Whole Foods and stock up on healthy snacks and water and it's an amazing experiences, they have golf carts that take you back and forth from your car parking. Plus we love getting the fresh smoothies at their smoothie bar and a nice meal from their deli to take back to the hotel.

But if you think your family won't want to make the stop then do the Vons order. It's really convenient.

I would say the only downfall is if you order fresh fruit, and it's not to your liking (we've had mushy strawberries or blueberries) then you can't return it. But if you're getting milk/break/cereal/snack bars you can't go wrong!

From the Vons Delivery site "Yes, a $49 minimum purchase amount (excluding applicable tax, delivery fee, fuel surcharge, bottle deposits and bag fees where applicable) is required to process and deliver your order."

But my order was $59 the other day for just 2 days at GCH. ( Think pool snacks- my cousin and I get the mozzarella balls and prosciutto to have with drinks we order at the pool - YUM! )

But you CANNOT have alcohol delivered unless you are there to sign for it!

Thank you so much! I'll probably place out order for Monday on Thursday/Friday then. I've never done grocery delivery, so figuring it out for the hotel was daunting. You made it easy
