Does anyone know of any online ordering/delivery (to resorts) I just need the basic necessities, like milk, juice, cereal etc. I can actually bring my own cereal mini boxes but the milk obviously not.

Any suggestions?

oh and I am not renting a car which why its needs to be delivered. We are travelling via bus only this trip.

garden grocer will deliver and if its over $200.00 its free deliver otherwise I think they carge 12.00.

You can use the Disney bus to get Hollywood studios then take the boat
to the boardwalk. And there is a little store on the boardwalk.A little more
then average grocery but they do have things like bread and milk.

god I live these boards. you guys are so awesome!!!!!! I will check out the website.

I used Marge at wegoshop.com in Nov.

Shop & delivery fee is based on what you buy.

She shops at the regular grocery store (I had her shop at PUBLIX). She bought fruit, cereal, kids ceresal boxes, wine, & beer (Corona in cans so you can take them to the pool) all from Publix.

She delivered to my Beach Club room at the set time. Great service.

I will being using her again.

I just went to order our stuff and saw a place for tipping - how much is typical???

Thanks!
Kori

I don't know what we tipped. I placed the order but my friend paid.

We had them go to the grocery store and then paid an extra $5 for them to go to the liquor store too.

Our order, with tip, was just under $200. I guessed we tipped around $10.

Service was great though.

I placed my order online. Spoke to Marge to set up delivery date and time (9:30 pm). Gave her my cell #. When we checked in, I called her with our room number. Her co-worker arrived at the door with all our stuff. She helped unload and reviewed everything with us. Gave us the receipts and tacked on her fee.

Not that I drink alot, but we (4 adults) brought our beers to the pool and saved more than enough to pay the delivery costs for everything.

They also offered 50% off a second order if needed during the stay.

I can't say enough. I will definitely us Marge & Wegoshop again.

I think Garden grocer.com's prices are inflated way above actual costs.

If all you need is milk (if you're bringing your own cereal), you can buy cartons of milk at your resort's gift shop.

We stay at Shades of Green and they have a nice little AAFES store - they have cereal, donuts, milk, juice, chips, cheese and crackers, Pepperidge Farm cookies - tons of stuff. But I'm not sure if other "official" WDW resorts have such a big selection.

We used Garden Grocers in August. They were the best! A live customer service rep called my house about a week before my trip and confirmed my order so I had no worries. I was at Planet Hollywood eating when the groceries were delivered to our resort so garden Grocers called my cell phone to let me know they had left them with bell services. Very smooth and saved a TON of money on food that week!

I don't know if someone has said this already, but if all you need is milk and juice, just go to the resort gift shop. There is always a little grocery area where you can get those sorts of things, even fresh fruit and cereal. It will be a bit more expensive than your local market, but it will most likely be way less expensive than having it delivered. That sounds like a ridiculous waste of money to me.

ooh thanx again. i think i got caught with the idea of ordering gorceries online. if it does wind up being much cheaper then ill go with it but i am ordering groceries because I need lots of water snaks for the kids, breakfast food etc... i am not buying a 2.00 dollar bottle water. i drink about 10 a day alone. and the kids love pb & j - good quick snak for all the walking.

staples and costco deliver water as well. They also don't charge shipping so you may want to look into that.

I just ordered from Costco for our trip starting on 12/19. It came to $6.24 and included my non-member fee of 29 cents. That was for a case of 24. I also faxed in my order to OKW and the few groceries that I need will be delivered to my room and placed in the refrigerator, etc. for a $5.00 delivery fee. If you don't need a lot, you won't need to order online. Enjoy!

I just ordered from Garden Grocer yesterday - we leave tomorrow!

This is my first time using them, and also my first time trying Magical Express. I figured the delivery will save me time - I grocery shop all the time at home, and have every trip to Disneyworld on the way to the resort. So this time, I figured I'd let them deliver it (for $12 plus a $5 tip).

I ordered a case of Dasani (splurging - it's vacation - I usually don't spent $8 on a case of water at home!), some little chocolate milks for the kids (DS needs it for an immunotherapy thing, you can read about it on CNN, it's through Johns Hokpins Hospital), soy milk for me (I just prefer it), little cereal bowls (the kind Target sells, they are nice), some chips and pretzels, and some Danactive for DH (he loves it, swears it keeps him healthy, and I think it does, he's never sick). And one pump hand soap of Dial liquid - it's cold and flu season, so I am going to make sure whenever we can, we WASH our hands! I sometimes find the little hand soap in the hotel gets goopy, so I'd like one pump to really clean our hands!

I also asked them to pick up a six pack of beer and a couple of bottles of wine.

I found their prices the same as what I'd pay here at home.

I'll let you know how it worked out when I get back!

We prefer to grab something in the room in the morning, or on our way out, as we're not big sit down breakfast eaters at all. I just need coffee.

I added $5 for their tip - I think on top of the $12 charge for delivery that was fair to add a tip, as they are getting the beer and wine for us also. I sometimes like a glass or two of wine on the balcony after a long day. DH said he may not need the whole six pack, but it's probably less $$ than 2 beers at the resort.

Of course, I'll need to again tip the bell services when they deliver it to the room! But it's nice to have a little snacks in the room.

I order my water from Costco. I pack food in a checked bag. My airlines now charges $15 for a checked bag, but that's cheaper than paying the inflated prices (they are much higher than rural Ohio prices), delivery charge, and tip of a grocery delivery company. And I don't have to hang around the resort waiting for it to be delivered or pay bell service a tip for delivering it when I return.

This trip I'm thinking of shipping down a box of goodies and only using carry-on luggage. I can send down all my 'liquid' items and snacks. I figure if it costs me around $15 that's what I would have paid for the checked suitcase...and I don't have to pay the additional $15 to get that suitcase back home.
