Grocery Delivery

We are staying at the GCH and would like to have groceries delivered to the hotel. We arrive at 9:00pm and will probably not be checking in until around 10:00. Is it possible for the store to deliver our order so that it's waiting there for us? Would the GCH even accept the order if we haven't checked in yet? Thanks!

Yes, they would if you call the hotel ahead of time and let them know about it. They cannot store refrigerated items though, I think (meaning they won't put them in a fridge).

Call GHC guest services and ask. You don't have to be there to accept the delivery; normally they hold it at the bell desk. But I have heard of DLH putting the groceries in someone's room before they checked in. If you call and present it as a dilemma that you're worried about, and ask nicely, it's possible they will agree to put the stuff in your room. We found the CMs at GCH to be very helpful and accommodating.

I seem to remember that the latest you can have groceries delivered is like 8 or 9 p.m., but it's been a few months, so I'm not sure.

Great! Thank you so much for the replies. We're always hungry when we arrive and nothing quick and easy is still open. It'll be nice to be able to just fix a pnj sand in the room.

Is there a grocery store that delivers to GCH that you all could recommend?

Given the rates at any Disney Hotel, and also that Grand Californian is a 4-diamond hotel, I would expect the delivery not only to be accepted, but the groceries placed in the room - and in the fridge as necessary.

im gona call desert inn and see if they will hold our delivery. or if mybe they would put the milk in the frdge. how long do you think milk can stay out in a airconditioned room?

We did Albertsons. It was well worth it. I've also heard that Vons does it, too (aka Safeway in some areas) but just lately I've read a couple posts that Vons delivery website has been rejecting the DL area zip code as being out of their delivery area. Might want to check on that.

There's a $9.95 delivery fee, though I think it's free at Vons if it's over $50; also I saw a Vons discount code for free first time delivery regardless of the total $ amount. The code was "deliveries".

Thanks for the code for free delivery. Hopefully it'll work for me. Either way, the $9.95 charge will be easily paid off on what we save for water alone. I can't believe how much a bottle costs there.

250 a piece. i know last year some time some one found a 24pack for 2.50 and was like its like payign for one in the park. that there made me decied to do vons or soemthing for sure. even with meal plan i drink lots of water
