Grocery Delivery Tipping Question

We used wegoshop last summer and did tip. I think the order was a little more than $130 and I gave him a $20. There is a service charge factored in the cost, but when I'm on vacation, I try to show my appreciation for good service. I know wegoshop has gone through a transition and this was the former owners, but he was great and unloaded stuff for us, even placing some of the food in the fridge.

Any others?? We're going with Garden Grocer and buying about $50 in groceries... :sunny:

We used wegoshop last summer and the total bill came to around 100 and we gave 115 so that was roughly a 15% tip. Great service - the lady who brought the groceries even helped me put them away!

if you use garden grocer, isn't it possible groceries would be waiting for you, therefore HOW would you tip?

I was wondering the exact same thing. I would like to tip but other post have indicated that the delivery was made and stored at OKW before they arrived. This will be similar to what we will be doing..smjj

I am not trying to be cheap, but I thought that the tip was included in the delivery fee? Now, I am sure you can go beyond that, but I didn't think it was expected.

We used Gardengrocer.com last week. Everything was exactly as we had ordered it. We were'nt there when they delivered so they left the order with bell services. I tipped the bellman when he delivered the groceries.

I would have tipped the the deliveryperson if we had been there when they delivered.

I do think the tip is included and if the groceries are delivered to the fronk desk I wouldn't worry about the tip issue. Our groceries were brought to us in our room and that's mostly the reason we tipped because it was a lot of extra hassle for the woman who brought them (she had to come upstairs and find our room etc.) plus she helped us put them away (she insisted!) so she deserved something else on top of her usual fee.

So did you simply call bell services to have them deliver it to you? How did you know your order was ready?

I am checking in at noon but realize that there might not be a room ready. So should I have items delivered at noon and risk having to store them?

I intend to be at the parks for the rest of the night so what might be a better time to have them delivered? (do they deliver in the evening?)
