Grocery Delivery & LAX ????

Six days to DL! We arrive Monday evening for 5 nights at HoJo. Here are my questions:

We get into LAX around 7 pm - assuming a 7:45 departure from the car rental location, how long a drive should it be to the Howard Johnson's?

I'm also toying with the idea of arranging a grocery delivery from Albertson's or Von's since both have nice on-site ordering. Has anyone done this? Any recommendations of Vons vs. Albertson's? I'll confirm with HoJo that they're OK with receiving a delivery earlier on Monday than we arrive.

I know we could do a stop, but it will be late for our East Coast clocks, we might well be hungry since AirTran doesn't serve food in flight, and we'll want to be fresh and ready for an early start on Tuesday. Thanks for the advice!

Ordered thru Albertson's Yesterday and have it scheduled for the day we arrive, June 26. Was real easy to do online as well. Hope it all works out ok.. Good luck and have a great trip.

I checked out delivery for our trip in "April and finally decided not to, mainly because I was told that you needed to be present for the delivery (that the hotel would not accept delivery for you) and I couldn't find a time that worked for us. I packed 1/2 case of water and some snacks and it was fine. have a great trip.
