Grocery deliveries?

Have any of you used your DVC resort's grocery delivery service for when you arrive?

I see on the main DIS board that many recommend the off-site delivery services, such as Garden Grocer, but haven't yet noticed anyone who has used the resorts own delivery service (I haven't searched posts, just haven't noticed mention of the resort deliveries).

Any recommendations?

if using the onsite delivery,they only use things which are in the resort shop.
so to me its pointless as you can just walk down and pick them yourself
The offsite ones seam beter,have heard garden grocer uses publix,plus if you want beer the will deliver that as well

I've used the resort delivery a couple of times as we didn't need that much.
It's very easy as it is all brought to your villa. As far as I can remember they call after you've checked in and then bell services delivers it.

It depends on how much you need. We usually get breakfast stuff and some drinks. As they don't charge delivery and if you have a couple of bags of stuff it's much easier to have them bring it to you than picking it up from the shop. Especially if you arrive later. After being on a 8 hour flight I don't really want to drag groceries around.

This year I'll be using Garden Grocer for the first time as we're staying a bit longer and it's a cheapo holiday so I'm planning to have a couple of meals in the villa.

We usually take some things with us (tea, sugar) and go to the resort shop for breakfast things when we arrive. This time, however, we have a very tight luggage allowance, so I don't want to take anything unnecessary in the suitcases.

I can't decide whether to just get everything from the resort when we arrive, or have it delivered. I'll make up my mind one day soon, I expect!

We used Garden Grocer on our last trip in July and were very pleased with them. I considered trying the Resort service, but the selection was just so limited. Plus, as stated above, I could run down there myself and pickup anything they had available.

Garden Grocer was able to bring us items such as Coke Zero which DH loves, and nice fresh fruit bowls that my girls enjoy at breakfast. You can choose from the items online at their website, and they were very efficient with their delivery. Everything was in the order, and Bell Services brought it up as soon as we had our luggage delivered to our villa. I will definitely use them again.
