...I gave 2 envies to my DH to mail last Friday, I said when you go to the counter buy a book of stamps too. The goofball just put them in the mail without any postage!!! Dusti1960, I am so sorry if you get a postage due envie. I got the big one back with a big yellow sticker on it that says, "you married dopey, return to sender, no postage." Okay so it doesn't say anthing about dopey...you get the idea. Please forgive me/us, we will try again tomorrow. I'll do it this time so that I know it gets done the right way.

I wanted to thank everyone for all of the Birthday wishes. We partied at Dav N Busters on Friday and then had dinner with the family on Saturday. My family had me in tears withh all the sentimental cards they chose. It was definately a WONDERFUL Birthday!!

Dznybound~I stuck one on the box for you today....got stuck in the snow in the drive thru at the post office. Some poor guy that happened to be walking towards me didn't say anything to me, just walked behind my van and helped push me out. That was really nice of him. My boys were on a snow day today, another tomorrow, they need to get back to school!!!!!!

I started a spreadsheet. I am keeping track of 2 things.

1 - How much I save with Manufacturers Cpns.
2 - How much I save with Store Coupons. So far I went to CVS 1 time and the grocery store for a quick stop and I am already at $27. I think it will be fun to see my total savings for a year. I just hope I keep up with it....

Now what you need to do with your "savings" is to pay yourself in a separate acct/envelope and save it up for your next trip or something special. I keep saying I'm gonna do that. Because then it'd be like I'm paying for our WDW trip. Hey--couponing/sales shopping is work!

That is a GREAT idea! I think maybe I will try to do that as well.

I tried doing this a few years ago. It is such a good idea, and it really does add up fast. I stopped doing it because I would forget to transfer the money, or skip doing it a few times here and there. But, I will say I was diligent about it for a bit and I remember I had $30 before I knew it. It was very surprising.
I think I may give this a try to again now with this talk about it. Maybe I'll try a small term goal, like do this until we head to Disney in March....yeah, that sounds like a plan. Who knows, maybe by then I'll be in the habit and will continue when we get home.
