Our oldest dog passed away last week.

Today I went to the Humane Society to look at pets & ended up bringing home a new friend.

OMG, I have to say that I don't think I would like a burger made from Kobe beef, veal and lamb AND stuffed with blue cheese, let alone my kids!!! GAG! Oh Carol, what are you doing?!?!?!?!?!?

You know all the articles that tell you how to save money on your food bill, and we read them and then say to ourselves, why cause we do all of that stuff already. Well I stumbled across another article last week while I was killing time between classes, and I read something I had never tried.

Go to your favorite search engine and type:

XXXXX deals

where XXXXX is the name of your favorite grocery store. Well I did it and typed Hannaford Deals and found a great website for us New Englanders.

This blogger takes the flyers from four stores and tells you what is on sale and even points out coupons that you might have in your coupon caddy from previous weeks. Sort of like the grocery game but no fee (plus the grocery game does not have Hannaford's the store I go to)

It helped with me shopping list/menu planning.

I hope this helps others.

I'm going to try this and see what I can come up with.

Hope everyone has had a good week. We had an unnatural cold snap again but this weekend looks nice!! I have Spring fever but in MN-we can get snow as late as the end of April.

IF you cannot get an envie out to your sender, LET THEM KNOW!!!!!

It is nice but not necessary to let your person know that you have SENT an envie!

It is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED BY EVERYONE that you let people know that you HAVE received an envelope!

Now some of you might get cross with me for posting this, but we have a *GREAT* conductor who does a fantastic job keeping us on track and really doens't need e's about not getting envies and such. It is also a nice courtesy to use an *ACTIVE* email so folks can send you an email if they havent' gotten stuff from you instead of them having to post on here about it! And again, if you let them know not to expect an envie for a few days they won't be on here asking over and over where their coupons are!

Let's keep the train running and let's get the bumps outta the track. And for those scratching their heads saying "but I do all that already" then obviously this post isn't meant for you! lol
