Anyone have any experience buying groceries throughDVC. Do they still do this ? Is this a reliable service. Last time I wasted a half day of my Vacation buying groceries. i think it may be worth the extra cash to have it there when I get into my room . Any thoughts.:hyper:

We use it on most of our trips......................I love the service........One less thing for us to think about in the chaos of getting to our 'home away from home'.....the less thinking the better..................A little more expensive than doing it yourself, but, IMHO, well worth it.........

Also, on our last trip, I was under the impression that you had to be in the room when they delivered, that is not the case.....we had a dinner reservation, when our order had not gotten to the room yet...........so we left, and when we got back all of our groceries were delivered, and organized neatly in appropriate places........(all the refrigerator items were placed in the fridge and all the other stuff neatly stacked around the kithchen.......

We love this service...........

I was considering using this service but I think I came up with a better plan. I had wanted to use the service because we won't have a car to go to the store. I looked into Tiffany Towncar service from the airport. Round trip is $75 (w/ coupon) and they will let you run into a supermarket for 20 min. plus they give you a free car seat when requested. Apparently Albertson's will let you fax an order ahead of time and then pick up. I think we will save money using this plan insted of DVC grocery delivery. I also don't think we will waste much time making the quick stop. Just something to consider. ;)
