I know it's been asked and answered a hundred times, but I can't find any of the more recent threads re this. DH, DD, DS and I are staying at VWL for the first time at the end of May. I'll need to pick up a few things - milk, lunch meat, etc. Where should I go?

I use the WinnDixie up the street from Crossroads. It's a pretty new supermarket.
And it is cheaper then the shop at Crossroads.

You follow the Disney Signs to Downtown Disney, Drive past Downtown (see yellow dots) around the bend and past all the Downtown Disney Hotels. You will come to the large disney signs, and light. Crossroads will be right in front of you. You want make a left at the crossroads light. Follow the road down past a few lights and WinnDixie will be on your right.

Its a pretty easy trip. Here's a map that shows the trip.
Have a good time!

If you have a car I found the Winn Dixie on 535 about the closest.
It was about 1 1/2 miles from OKW. This should put it about 2-3 miles from VWL. If you are driving inon 417 from the airport there is an Albertson's off exit 11. I think there is a Publix nearby also.

If our flight to Orlando arrives early we hit one of the many grocery stores off 417 but if we get in later in the day we head over to the Winn-Dixie on 535 after doing our thing at the parks. Deb Wills has some good info at: http://www.wdwig.com/grocery.htm

Thanks everyone. We'll be driving down this trip, so I think I'm going to plan on checking in, and then abandoning DH and the kids for a little while (I'll need the break after the LONG ride!) and try Winn Dixie Cindy_K suggested. I love the map!!!
