Groceries?

We are renting a villa and will not be renting a car. We would like to eat breakfast at the villa. What is the best/cheapest way to get grocery items - taxi, delivery service, etc?

We used to use the different delivery services. Now we find it easier to rent a car for 1 day and do all of our shopping, Wal-Mart, Publix etc, and we get take out or eat at a nice local restaurant.

Thanks...I didnt think of a one day rental...I was worried about the cost of renting a car for a week.

we use gardengrocer. You just pick out your groceries online and they deliver them for a $12 fee plus tip. Prices are kinda high (as there are no specials of the week)but they do except coupons. We have used them 4 times and have been happy with them.

I even order cold cuts and frozen waffles and such. Everything is kept refridgerated in bell service.

We usually just take a taxi. It cost us $20 RT (we called when we were done) from SSR to Winn Dixie. We prefer to pick out our own food, wine, etc. and they sell souveniers & pool noodles very inexpensively.

Marj at wegoshop is wonderful. I think that we paid $17 plus tipforabout $200 worth of groceries. She will get size and brand that you like or shop sales too. I don;t want to take time from my vacation to shop.

The advantage for having a car for at least one day is you also get to go to the 2 Disney outlet stores where you will find wonderful discounted Theme Park merchandise.
You can go to all sorts of other shops in addition to the grocery shopping.
