We were thinking of staying in a villa for our trip during September. What do people do for groceries if you don't have a car. We plan on using park transportation for everything.

Welcome to the Dis-Boards.

One option is to take a cab to the grocery store. Another option is to have one of the delivery services that are mentioned from time to time here on the Dis-Boards pick up some things for you and deliver them to your room. Garden Grocer is often mentioned. Disney also has a service where they will stock your villa for you before you arrive.

Good luck and have fun planning.

We have used Wegoshop.com for delivery several times and have always had good luck with them.

We also used Garden Grocer and were very pleased. We didn't get much, and it was nice not to mess with taking time to get groceries.

We used Goodings in December. Good service with zero problems. Price was a little high. Next time we will use GardenGrocer.com.

DH took a cab to Winn Dixie. We were going to order online, but for the amount of time to sit down and decide and order what we wanted, it worked out better for us to work on the grocery list on the plane ride down, then go out and purchase.

Over the last three years we have used wegoshop.com 5 times. Always pleasant service at our convience. This year our flight was delay and instead of getting in at 1 pm it was 9pm. Guess who was at our door 1 hour later with everything we asked for.

1) We placed the orders online and you will get a confirmation email
2) you need to tell them what time you will be at the resort and then call when you are in your room.
3) Voila, groceries magically arrive :)

They charge the same as the grocery store, they give you the grocery receipt. Only charge a small delivery fee.

Additional stops I think were $5

You cant beat that, none of my precious vacation time is taken to run around looking for groceries.

Would recommend for anyone. Cant beat this service!

I do it a little differently.
I am not a big fan of the Magical Express bus, so I always arrange a town car or van service to pick us up at the airport. Most services offer a free half hour stop at a grocery store if you arrange it in advance, so I pick things up on the way to the resort.

We used Wegoshop and loved them. I asked her to call me about fruit prices and the dates that they were good for. She also let me know how they looked so I was able to decide if we should get them. We will use them the next time we go. She also called me if there were any other changes. We also stayed at VWL and was able to have her charge the room so we did not have to be there. Bell services brought the groceries when we got back to the Lodge.:cool1:

I am glad to hear that they provide this service. I was concerned that if you ask for fresh fruit, you will automatically get what you ordered without regard to price or quality. We will probably use them on our next trip.

Garden Grocer is great! You can order things that are not listed on the website as well...like beer and wine!!! :thumbsup2
