Groceries with ME

This will be our first time at AKV. We'd like to take ME rather than hire a limo, but I don't know how we'll get groceries if we take ME. Are there any places on-site to buy groceries? Thanks all.

There should be limited groceries available in the store at AKV.

You might also want to look into gardengrocer.com and (I think) wegoshop.com.

Others on here have used either, or both, and can give you the inside scoop!

We used wegoshop.com and loved the experience. Marge was there waiting for us when the ME bus arrived at the resort. She promptly gave all bags to bell services, because our room was not ready. She let bell services what bags needed refigeration. It was great and will use her again

Yes, you can print the grocery list off the website and fax your order to them. The list of groceries offered is limited.

... and not all that cheap, either.
If you want one or two things, it might be OK. But if you want more selection or are buying quite a bit for a week of homemade meals (like if you had a 1BR / 2 BR / GV and wanted to cook) you might want to go with a service instead.

We have used wegoshop several times. Like Other posters have said, Marge is wonderful!!! She is so prompt and goes out of her way to make you happy.
I would use her, even with the minimal delivery charge.

We used gardengrocer.com over our Christmas week stay and they too were fantastic!

Everything was delivered just before we arrived at the BW and the bell staff brought it up to our room when we were ready.

We've used garden grocer and were very pleased with them.

We have used Garden Grocer twice...once with excellent service and once with terrible. Next time, we will go with WeGoShop and see which service we prefer. I would definitely suggest either of these over the members' list. Limited and expensive.
