groceries near POR

My plane lands at 11:20 am. We wanted to spend the only few hours we will at AK that afternoon. The park closes at 5 pm and then we are going to the World Showcase until it closes for dinner and touring. I thought that we could check in after that. I wanted to do some grocery shopping and was wondering what the closest off-property decent and decently priced store is near either AK or POR.

Also, do you think that we will have any trouble checking in that late? It will be after 10 pm by the time we get back. This trip is really abput the IFWF at Epcot, and we want to maximize the available time there since it is a short trip.

Any ideas?

There is Publix just beyond the back entrance to the AK and then down by DTD at Cross Roads is another Store (can't remember the name) but it is more expensive. The Publix's is on 192 west.
