Groceries in gift shop at Cabana Bay?

Hi! We have just booked our first trip in more than 10 years to Universal Studios and will be staying at Cabana Bay. We have taken our kids to Disney a few times and always used Disney transportation to get to the hotel from the airport. Then we would buy some basic breakfast items- loaf of bread, box of cereal, milk, etc- in the gift shop in the hotel so we didn't need to do a "big breakfast" every morning. I would like to do this for this trip as well, but I can't seem to find any info about whether or not the gift shops at the Universal hotels have grocery items. Does anyone have any info about this? Thanks!

I don't think Cabana Bay has those items in the gift shop. I don't remember seeing them. so please don't count on them being there for you. It really is a gift shop and forgotten sundries shop (I went in for sunscreen and looked at the resort specific gifts).

The grab and go area in the resort food court did have small cereal boxes and milk cartons and other items you might want for a quick breakfast in your room.

Thanks, that's what I figured! I forgot to ask also if there was beer or wine available (to be consumed in the room after the kids go to bed in the evening), but I'm assuming not?

I honestly can't remember seeing grocery items in the gift shop, I'm 99% sure there weren't any. They do have fridges in the foodcourt but can't recall seeing any alcohol.

For some reason they make alcohol impossible to get at UO other than from the lounge/Bar. It's not like WDW where beer and wine are readily available at the gift shop.

I didn't see food products with the exception of candy available at the gift shop. You will find some selections in the food court.

The only other place I've seen that you can buy beer and wine is at Sal's Deli at Portofino.

Ok, it looks like we'll have to work in a pit stop at a grocery store on our way to the hotel from the airport. Thanks for all the replies!

The gift shop is just around the corner from the Bayliner and when we were there last week, we saw many grab and go grocery items. They did sell beer too because I noticed the price was much cheaper to buy the 6 pack ($18) than individual bottle ($4). But, I didn't pay attention to the variety. You might want to scope it out then just go to the store if you find you really need to.
