Question for locals and for those who went through the other 3 storms at the resorts.....
We are driving down to on Tuesday, and are planning a grocery stop (we're cooking a good number of our meals). Due to the storm - should we stop way before the storm path, bring an ice chest and fill up there - or do you think the stores will be open and have food available by then? Not sure what the area aroud WDW is like after something like this. Thanks!

I think I would take my own non-perishables then get milk, and meats locally. I would think that at least walmart would be up and running again by then. Go to the walmart off sand lake rd. The one on 192 gets backed up w/ traffic!

I may even try calling that Wal Mart before we get there - would it be Lake Buena Vista, or actually Orlando? We have pretty much all of our non-perishable stuff already packed (ready to leave today.....), but we were going to do a lot of forzen waffles and pizzas. Thanks for the info!

If you haven't left yet... check the walmart web page to see if they have a directory of their stores. I don't know if it is "orlando" or "lbv" but it is on sand lake rd.
have a safe trip and a great time!

Just wanted to add that there is also a Super Target close to WDW, so that is an option as well. We were just there last week, and it is a very nice store. It's just off 417 between the airport and Disney (not sure what way you're coming). Here are the details just in case you need them:

Hunters Creek SuperTarget
2155 Town Center Blvd , Orlando, FL 32837-6801 USA

Have fun!!!
