Ok I know it as been discuss before but I can't find it anymore :confused: And since I'm from Canada, I don't know any of those names like Publix, winn-dixie or gooding! I know there is one close to Disney but is very expensive but I can'T remember the one! Could you please help me find the best place for our groceries. Merci beaucoup :goodvibes and I will be more than happy to have you by for a nice cold moosehead ;) and some smarties...

Gooding’s is the place just outside DTD and has as we say down south prices as high as a cats back. There is a super Wal-Mart not far on 535. But Publix is the best overall for food. They have a great deli, meat, seafood and Bakery. They are a little more expensive than Wal-Mart but so much better quality and service. The one we go to is on Vineland close to the outlet mall. Here is a map from the Publix web site.http://store.publix.com/publix/cgi/site?site=00351&address=

thank you a lot. In french you could say : ça coute la peau des fesses. Trnaslate in it cost the skin on your bum...:confused3 Thank you a lot

I truly admire a language that can make anything sound sophisticated.

Too bad you are not going in august, I would have been more than happy to share a moosehead with you! It's our favorite and we can'T stand americain beer, they are not strong enought;)

Stop at Le Cellier and you can get a La Fin Du Monde as take out.

Luckily Canadian beer is easy to get here, althouh Moosehead is up to $28 a case now.

Wow that's good to know! Moosehead is only 15$ for a pack of 12, so we will bring our own... Dh will be more than happy now knowing he can drink in beer in the world!

I meant it's easy to get in Buffalo -- case here is 24 bottles! I've never seen Moosehead in Florida other than at Epcot. I also love Harp and a lot of micro brews! Lan Fin is my fav but I can only drink a few of those before I start to feel it.

It's true....:laughing: I've never heard the expression. I guess it's the equivalent of costing an arm and a leg....but much more colorful!

Coute=cost

La peau =skin

Des fesses = bum

Yes we also have that expression : ça coute un bras et une jambe. But I prefer the other one... funnier! :)

There's a really nice Publix on Apotka-Vineland Road up past Bay Hill. It's only 7-8 miles and it's well worth it. It's designed for the locals so you won't be ripped off like Goodings or any of the other Tourist Supermarkets. Just go down thru the Hotel Plaza Drive and Turn LEFT onto Apotka Vineland and keep going. It's past Bay Hill on the Left Side.
