Someone told me about Garden Grocer dot com and I was wondering how far in advance do I need to place my order? We are set to arrive at Disney Yacht Club on May 29th.

What was you experience with using this kind of service?

This quote is from the Garden Grocer website:

"Grocery delivery is FREE for orders over $200! We currently offer delivery to much of Central Florida (including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Hotels) for a fee of only $12.00. (See "Service Area" for specific locations.) We also deliver to area college campuses!"

"Please allow at least 24 hours for delivery."

I have used them once before and am using them again this weekend. They were great and I highly recommend them!!:thumbsup2 I placed my order a week in advance.

i used wegoshopping in 2005, was great, especially if you don't have a car and you have a refrigerator in the room!
best things to get ~~~~~(some of these you can pack in a seperate small suitcase just for snacks and use that suitcase for dirty laundry on the way back!)
* kool aid "singles"~ only 30 calories a serving for the kids and for the adults, crystal lite "singles".
* bottled water, but only a few bottles because you can re use them, one or two for each person! Don't buy a whole case!
*Pop Tarts, everyone cannot forget pop tarts, very versitile!
* SNACKS THAT WON'T MELT IN THE SUN, DON'T BRING CHOCOLATE!
~ gummy "stuff"~raisins~fruit roll ups~little fruit cups~single serving pringles~packaged crackers

Another Garden Grocer fan here. The owner was amazingly helpful and responsive, and delivery was flawless. Will use them every time we go.

Order as early as you can!!! About a month before my November trip, I read on here that Garden Grcoer was sold out for my date of arrival. I didn't want to believe what might just be a rumor, so I called Garden Grocer and was told by Brian, the owner, that they were in fact sold out for that day. He said he knew their capacity, and he didn't want to overtax his staff and perhaps subsequently cause the quality of their service to suffer. Sounds good to me!

I've used Gooding's (www.goodings.com) twice, and was completely satisfied both times.

Another:thumbsup2 for Garden Grocer! We used them at Christmastime last year and they were awesome! On time delivery, unloaded everything for us into the fridge, and even brought us a couple of bottles of wine for evenings on our balcony! I initially ordered about 6 weeks out and was already running into limited delivery times- but that was a peak time.

Jemma~
I just spoke with Brian (I think he's the owner) Coleman over the phone and asked him a few questions about delivery since we're getting in so late, about tips, and about $40 min. He said that it's best to get your order in at least two weeks before arrival, tip is up to us people usually tip around $5, and if you are coming in late in the evening then to put in special notes to leave your order with Bell service and also to say it's O.K. to bring order earlier if they have other deliverys earlier that day. They have delivery times up to 9:00 p.m., (we get much later than that) and I didn't want them coming out just for us so I left a note to bring the grocery's earlier with other delivery's if they only have us to take care of that late in the evening. Brian was most appreciative for my concern, but said not to worry they make deliveries out there all the time even that late in the evening.
Hope all this helps someone out there. :)

We tried to place an order about three weeks before our trip and the first opening they had was two days before our trip ended. So, I would advise to place it as soon as you can. :-)
