Groceries advance ordering?

We will be arriving at AoA the evening of Monday 4/9, driving up from Naples (3.5-4 hours). While my first instinct had been to just stop at a nearby Publix or something, the more I think about it, the more I'm feeling like after that long in the car, we'll probably just want to GET THERE. So now I'm considering paying a small premium to get some groceries delivered.

However, if I go that route, I'd like to get it taken care of before we get to Naples on Thursday 4/5 - I don't want to have to worry about taking time out of our time with family there to deal with it. That said, I know I'm too late to get a reasonable discount from Garden Grocer. I'm thinking about Prime Now, but I feel like all the Prime Now reviews I've seen have been from people saying they ordered the night before - does anyone know if I can place an order, say, 4/2 or 4/3 for delivery on 4/9? If I can't do that through Prime Now, can anyone suggest other delivery services where that might be feasible (and not TOO insanely expensive)? TIA!

I had everything set up in my shopping cart in prime now before we left.once we arrived I just checked out and it was delivered within a few hours.

I would look into safeway, they deliver to the resorts and have a better selection than prime now.I would imagine you could do the same with their mobile app as I did with prime now.

I did a Publix delivery, and I finalized the order the day before we were to fly in. It was at the hotel when we arrived, and delivered to our room by bell services. It was great, and at the time they didn't charge a delivery fee on the first order. It was a great experience.

So do you not need to order Publix or Safeway as far in advance as Garden Grocer? Browsing prices, they look cheaper even with Garden Grocer's discount for ordering in advance.

It looks like Walmart has grocery pick-up - we're planning on trying that in a few weeks! You order everything in advance and schedule a pickup time and when you get there they bring the groceries out to your car. This works fine for us because we will have a rental car. I looked into ordering from Safeway (I think with Publix you have to order via Instacart?) but Safeway's prices were quite a bit higher than Walmart's - even with free delivery and $25 off coupon.

You don't... I had my cart ready for a few weeks (and kept tweaking it), and then scheduled the delivery the day before we were arriving. The free delivery varies... sometimes you get it for signing up, but it has to be used within a certain timeframe. For me, the free delivery was because of the particular water I ordered... they were running a special at that time. I found their prices much lower than GG, and a greater selection.

I am looking at Instacart this trip too. More of the stuff I want at a way better price. If my flight arrives at 10:30am, do I place the order the night before, or before I board the plane? My hope is for a 12:00noon delivery time.

We are arriving around midnight (late flight), and want to head out to the park by 10 am the following morning. Is it possible to have a delivery in the evening of our arrival, so we don’t have to wait around for it the next morning? We’re staying at POP, if it makes any difference.
