Grits!

Hi,

My DBF really wants to try grits, does anyone know if 1900 have it at breakfast as that is the only place we are going for breakfast on property (apart from Kona).

Not aware of any grits on property - you might want to check the online menus closer to your travel date just to be sure.

Olivia's at OKW has grits...and they are about the best grits I've ever had in my life!!....Don't know about 1900.

Hollywood and Vine has them.

However, they are also inexpensive and ridiculously easy to cook at home. Find a good recipe and try them. I like stone ground grits which have a heartier texture, but any kind is fine (other than instant).
They are only a base (like rice, or oatmeal, or cream of wheat) fairly tasteless unless you add something to them. I like my grits savory, but some people eat them sweet. I'm a southern girl and looove well cooked grits. I actually served cheese grits as a side dish at our wedding (which had many northern guests) and had shrimp and grits at my baby shower.

Every breakfast buffet I've been to at Disney has grits. The grits at Cape May are superb as are most at Disney. I can't imagine eating eggs without grits.

I can't imagine eating eggs with grits, but I'm a yankee, Whispering Canyon also serves grits as a side dish.

Never had grits until I tried them at the Wave buffet breakfast last trip. I can't remember what they were - cheese and something - but they were wonderful!

1900 PF had them last time I was there! Love my grits! Crystal palace has them too. Many breakfast places on property do.

As a Canadian living in Florida for the last 30 years I discovered grits late in life, but I do love them! Olivia's in OKW serves up a great breakfast, good omelets, wonderful banana bread french toast and I always have to have a side of their grits and breakfast potatoes! Yum!

Yep, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese grits....they are delicious!
They serve them on the buffet and you can also order them a la carte off the breakfast menu~
