Gringotts Current Lines

If I were going again (we're currently driving back from a week at universal). I wouldn't even bother with EE as it can totally be hit or miss. That said, we just kept an eye on the wait times app, and walked thru DA often. Finally, one day around 9:30 am it wasn't broken down and the wait was short (30 minutes). It was broken down more than half the times we walked thru, twice during EE.

Ugh, I hate to hear that. We only have one day there so I feel like I have to assume the best. And since they close so early, I feel like I should at least use that hour to ride DM and get in line for Gringotts or HE.

I hope it works for you! Good luck, and just keep an eye on the wait times via the app if you have a smart phone. From most places in the park, DA is a five minute walk at a faster pace. Keep in mind HE won't open until both parks are open.

Did EE again this morning and it broke down again for about 15 minutes. We got to ride it and it was good. My family liked Transformers more and the line was nothing this morning for Transformers. Gringotts was about 45 minute wait including the break down

Would EE be worth it just to see the rest of DA, skipping Gringotts? Is DA less crowded during EE than at other times, or is it worse?

It is quiet. Definitely a good time to do the rest of DA and KA.

We did early entry for HP Gringotts on Thursday October 30th and Friday October 31. Thursday we got to gates at 7:30 ( so at least half hour late) got on ride within 15 minutes. Friday we got to gates at 6:50 into park at 7:00 and only got off ride at 7:50, as ride kept having issues. Universal app said "closed" several times in the morning, which pushed the line to 120 minutes at some points.

We rode it on Wednesday around 1PM. The posted wait was 45 minutes and actual wait was 25 minutes. No breakdowns or anything ... just smooth riding in the middle of the day.

The power to the back of the park was down morning of October31. All the power was back on around 10:00. Gringotts was one of the rides that was down. None of the animatronics were moving until power came back on.

It was working late yesterday afternoon with 75 minute waits.

That explains why Disaster was down in the morning... Glad we got on with the EE

I got in line today at 105 minutes (according to the sign) we made it thru and back out in about 50-55 minutes. You really should experience it just once, and the line really isn't that bad, since there is no express pass for this attraction, the line is constantly moving.

Also yesterday 11/2, got in line at 75 and it took exactly 75 with two short interruptions. Very cool. But it is a long wait.

Arrived late Saturday night, Nov. 1, but too late to make it into the park and Diagon Alley before they closed for the last HHN. Debated EE and decided against it for Sunday, Nov. 2 even with an extra hour of sleep. Well, I checked the Universal App as I was getting ready in my CBBR room.

SUNDAY, NOV. 2
8am (EE)
9am (park open): 75 min.
10am: 120 min
11am: 135 min

I set an alert in the Universal App to let me know if it dropped down to 75 min. And sometime around 12:30pm, it actually dropped to 45 min (maybe a glitch in the app?), but quickly went back up to 75 min and stayed around 75 min for the first part of the afternoon. About 3pm, it dropped to 60 min and that's when I finally got in the single rider line.

I went back Monday (today), still deciding against EE, but it wasn't as crowded as Sunday.

MONDAY, NOV. 3
8am (EE)
9am (park open): 60 min.
10am: 75 min
At 11:15am, the wait time dropped to 45 min and I got in the standby line. We were on a ride vehicle in 33 min. I would occasionally check the app before leaving the park at 2pm and it was always at 45 min. I don't know what the wait times were the rest of the day, since I drove down to the Magic Kingdom so I could try their new attraction, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

TUESDAY, NOV. 4
Mid-day from 11:30 - 3pm, the wait time was 30 min(!) every time I checked. I rode single rider at 1:30pm and was on a ride vehicle in about 7 minutes.

Tuesday Nov. 4:
Got in line at 9:05 and got off the ride exactly an hour later. Wait time was posted at 60 minutes.
Rode a second time around 12:30. Wait time was posted for 30 minutes. Decided to do single rider and walked right on with no wait!

Today - Thursday November 6th
Posted wait time at 5pm - 30 minutes. On and off in 30 minutes.
