Where can my DS get a grilled cheese? I haven't looked at EVERY single menu for EVERY retaurant, but I have looked at the ones we have ADRs for & no grilled cheese. This is his favorite & he's a picky eater, so I'm trying to find out all the places he could find a grilled cheese.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered grilled cheese for my kids at the Plaza restaurant in MK and at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. I can't remember if we could have gotten it at other places. I bet even if it is NOT on the menu, if you ask they may be able to make it for your child.

Have a great trip!

We were just there in July, and my picky non-vegetable vegetarian 7 year old  enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches at Kona Cafe, 'Ohana (actually brought over from Kona), Captain Cook's temporary location (the CS in the Poly), and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

We did not find it at any of the CS menus in the parks themselves, though. But getting to the Poly for lunch is really easy if you're at MK, and the Captain Cook's one comes with applesauce and carrot sticks. At the TS places, he had fries as his side.

My DD got a tye dye grilled cheese at the Concorse Steak House. We took a picture of it, and when people look at the scrapbook they alway have a weird look on their face and question what she is eatting!!! :rotfl:

Most resort foodcourts will have it ( I enjoy a grilled ham and cheese for breakfast) Im sure alot of TS places will make it if you request it, I mean its cheese bread and butter!

Beaches & Cream has grilled cheese sandwiches on the kids' menu.
Cheers!

You can pretty much count on any TS restaurant's being able to make a grilled cheese if asked -- as long as they have those basic ingredients in the kitchen, they will do it. You can also always ask if there are any other options for kids, or work with your CM to create a kid's meal from the adult menu. Our DS loves plain chicken (grilled, baked, or poached -- just PLAIN) and plain pasta, and likes most steak (plain) -- we've often talked to the CM and the kitchen has had no problem creating great, simple little meals that he eats that use ingredients from the adult menu in plain form (so that he's not living on hot dogs and fries and chicken fingers that seem to dominate the kids menus everywhere). Don't worry -- you won't have problems.

Rumor has it that the Earl of Sandwich in DD has a very good grilled cheese.

Thanks so much for asking this. I have an extremely picky 6yo, and we are going in 5 weeks-- we've been stressing over the lack of grilled cheese-- sometimes he'll eat chicken fingers, but sometimes he won't, sometimes he'll eat pizza-- but not always. We can always count on grilled cheese.

When we were at the Flying Fish in June, the young man at the table beside us ordered a grilled cheese. The server made quite a show of the simple sandwich and thrilled the kid completely! :goodvibes

I bet any TS will make it for you regardless of the menu =)

(Now you have me craving grilled cheese!!!)

DD goes through her phases each trip (usually it's a chicken tender phase), but this past visit it was a Mickey Pasta and grilled cheese phase. Her fav grilled cheese was at FF and JIKO (comes with goldfish there). ;) Many of the resort sit-downs have this one their menu. A little tough to come by when doing buffets and "all you can eat" except where you can order off a menu (like O'Hana where you can order "kids" items that are served at Kona) and Gulliver's has a buffet but also offers menu items.

Thank you all SO much for the info! Glad to hear we won't have trouble finding DS's favorite! Now you just watch, by the time we go, he won't like them anymore.

This is what I was going to suggest! It's yummy and fun to eat! It's a good sized sandwich too and could almost be shared between two younger children.

It was REALLY good but my DD (not quite 3 at the time) wouldn't eat it...so I had too :teeth:

My nephew got one a couple of years ago at Flying Fish. He's a very picky eater and wouldn't eat it because it was different from what his Mom made. Both the bread and cheese was different that what he had at home.

I just wanted to add that the counter service restraurants will make it for you if you ask--it's just generally with a hamburger bun. My kids aren't generally picky eaters, but won't eat breaded (ie chicken nuggets) food or hamburgers & hotdogs, so this saved us greatly.
