Greiving, please don't think me crazy

I know how crazy this is, even as I type this. How many would think to come here to the DIS under these circumstances. It's 3:34am... and I can't sleep. So here I am typing for therapy.

My husband had a heart attack yesterday and died in his sleep.

We have 4 beautiful daughters, 10, 9, 5, and 2. It's for them that I greive the most.

Do you know how hard it is to type a subject line for this? It still sits blank up there, but I'll think of something.

I'm wandering in a fog, numb. If you are so inclined, please pray for my daughters. My husband. And if you have any left over, think of me. Oh, how I miss him already!!

I'll be lurking for a while. It's always uplifting to read your fun posts!

Prayers and pixie dust. My dad left my mon with three kids- 11, 10 and 3. Went to work one day and never came home- died in an accident at work.

You are not crazy just trying to cope. I promise you things will get better. Lots of prayers and pixie dust to get you through these difficult times.

Vicki, I am so very sorry.. I will keep you and your daughters in my prayers.... I wish had more words of wisdom right now, but all I could think of is you never know when it is your time.. I lost my Dad when I was 17, not as young as yours but I did feel it nonetheless... Hugs to you all, stay strong, I am assuming you have services ahead and family coming... please come here and vent whenever you need to..

So, very saddened for your loss. You are not crazy. I'll say extra prayers for your 4 children...It must be very difficult for such an unexpected loss.....

It will take some time but all of you will be fine...I had a very close friend lose his wife after she gave birth to their 4th child....It is almost 6 years later and they are doing great (still missing the loss of mom/wife) but thriving jus the same. At about year 2 the burden seemed to begin lifting....So, it won't be an easy road for the 5 of you but it will be ok...you will all survive....

I am so sorry to hear this.

I lost my Dad 9yrs ago (July 22nd) while he was sleeping due to heart failure. My brother (5yrs older than me) had a massive heart attack and heart bypass done this past May. It was quite a wake-up call for myself.

Take care of yourself and your 4 children. They will be the strength that helps you through this time.
