Gregory Hines died!!

Gregory Hines died today of cancer. He was 57yo.

He was a great entertainer.
My parents met him once at a Yankee game and he happily signed an autograph for them. It was a great moment for my mom, she loves him!

"White Nights" was one of my favorite movies. of course, I had a crush on Barishnikov when I saw that movie, but I really thought the chemistry between the two dancers worked very well.

Oh NOOOO! I screamed so loud when I read this my son came running!

I had no idea he was so sick.

I remember seeing him and his brother dance on Broadway EONS ago, I was NEVER that impressed by a dancer in my life!! He was not a big star back then but I predicted that he would be! He proved me right.

God bless, Gregory. Do a dance for my Mama and Daddy, they loved you, too!

White Nights was on AMC maybe last week. I caught a few minutes of it. I also had a crush on Barishnikov too!

Gregory Hines was a nice man. I live in NYC and he lived just down the block. He was often out and about in the neighborhood and very friendly. I once saw him stop at the ice-cream truck in the park and buy ice cream for everyone on line.

I once was out walking my dog and saw him out on the sidewalk waiting for his car practicing steps. I walked quietly by and we smiled at each other. I didn't want to break them mood. It is a moment I will always remember.

It is so sad....

Very sad I've really enjoyed the role he had on Will and Grace. A talented life ended way too soon.
