Well, I'm here. It's funny, just this morning, when I talked with you guys, I was in NJ, unaware of what would happen later. Well, now I'm here.
The plane landed at around 11 a.m. After getting our rental car and driving to WDW, we arrived at the Contemporary at noon. Our room was not quite ready, so we still checked in, but went up to the Grand Canyon Concourse. We browsed the shops. At 12:30, we went back to the front desk to see if our room was ready. Surprisingly, it was! They wanted to get us settled in right away, so a nice Cast Member lead us to our room on the 10th floor in the tower.
The view is amazing. I can see the GF, Poly, a part of TTC, and the MK. Not to mention the monorails and the Seven Seas Lagoon.
My sister and I found it fun to watch the monorails disappear (because the tower blocked the rest of the track) just before entering the resort. We would run across our room to the hallway outside and watch the same monorail glide by 6 floors below us. We also counted until when we would see a monorail exit our resort.
I don't think this resort has internet hookup. Thank god this laptop has battery power. I will just use the batteries to talk to you guys. We are going to change into our swimwear and go swimming. Tonight, we are planning on eating at Chef Mickey's. For my family, it is tradition to eat at Chef Mickey's on our first night - no matter which resort we stay in!

We like Chef Mickey's too. We have a PS for there next month.

We will be arriving at the Contemporary for the first time a week from today. We have a 14th floor room with a view of the Magic Kingdom and I can't wait to see it!!! We will also be eating dinner at Chef Mickey's our first night.
