Hey guys, I just wanted to say hi, I missed the Dis! I just moved into Northeastern University on Saturday, and my life has been crazy!

Long Island girl moving to Boston...wow, uhm yeah. People are different here! It's kind of funny because I'll meet girls based on what I'm wearing , they're usually other Long Islanders who recognize things. All the guys say that I talk WAY TOO FAST. I have been asked if I were Jewish more times than I can count. All my friends were Jewish growing up, so I guess I kind of adapted a little accent. I'll try to slow it down for all the Bostonians. I'm so afraid of adapting a Boston accent on top of my Long Island accent...can you imagine? Those are two of the most distinctive accents away from one another, there must be disasterous results when they are combined! ;)

I love Boston though. I love my campus, and my school is awesome so far. I already figured out the T, it's not too complicated. I was shocked to find more people here asking for money then in NYC! There are so many college kids in this town, it's crazy! It's hard to get used to the weather though, sooo cold. Last week I was in the Bahamas, and now it's like 60 all of a sudden! I'll live though ;) I think I might need that winter coat that I forgot to bring.

My dorm room is incredibly cute and coordinated :) I get many compliments. I keep it very neat, which my mom doesn't believe. I actually make my bed every morning, and I straighten up. I even vaccumed yesterday! I love having a small place of my own to care for. Hopefully I'll keep that up lol.

Thanks for listening guys! Classes start today, so hopefully once I get a real routine going I can Dis some more!

Good to see you, EP, and glad to hear you are off to a great start in your new school and surroundings!!! Best wishes to you this year!!!! Life sounds good!!!

Welcome to our fair state!!!!!

Boston is such a neat city to get out and about in. You are really going to enjoy it. The T is indeed easy to figure out.

I hope you have a great time. Oh and study hard (that's the mom in me, sorry ;) )

I have to study hard, I need a 3.0 minimum, I'm on a academic scholarship from the school :)

Welcome new Husky from an Alum!

Our Northeastern campus has changed a lot over the years. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. BTW, I lived in White Hall, Stetson and Smith Hall while there. I always laugh when I see "Stars on Huntington" since that was our old cafeteria when White Hall was a primarily freshman dorm. :p I can guarantee you we didn't get gourmet food back then.

Great school! One of my best friends graduated from Northeastern and I have many fond memories from visiting her. If you're on Commonwealth Avenue, near BU's Nickerson Field, be sure to stop at T. Anthony's Pizza--the best pizza in town!
