Just want to introduce myself - I'm new to the message boards and Disney and I hope that this is the right place to introduce myself.

My name is Marie and I am planning my first trip to Disney for November 28th with my fiance Richard. We are both *really* looking forward to it as it's my first visit to disney / america (he's gone twice before, but a few years ago) and it's also our first proper holiday together, drunken weekends away to blackpool just don't count as a real holiday :D

We've already got most of the holiday planned, we are staying offsite at Holiday Inn International and got our disney, universal, seaworld and diiscovery cove tickets sorted. Now we just have to sort out the extras and cope with the wait. Still I am sure there's lots more information for me to find out and this seems to be a good place to get it.

Anyway, until the next post - I've went on too long already, so, I look forward to sharing posts with everyone here!!! thank you!!!

Welcome to the DISBoards, Marie. :)

Since there is a huge - simply huge - amount of information regarding the parks on this board - some people will post their trip plan - you know, stating what park will you be visiting on what day. Then other posters can start to give you suggestions and "critique" your plans and help you to fine tune them.

For example, you may have in your trip plan that you plan to visit Magic Kingdom on a certain day - only to find out from experienced guests/posters to these boards that the Magic Kingdom has EE that day. This means that those guests that stay on-site will be admitted before you and you are likely to encounter large crowds at the Magic Kingdom that day. Others can help you determine a better day to go to the Magic Kingdom. (This is just an example, by the way).

So, do you have a trip plan of what parks you plan to visit on what days?

Hello, we're going at Christmas, my partner hasn't been before, I've been a few times. We'll be getting married down at Fort Myers. We're really looking forward to it. Good luck with yours,
Geoff.

Hi Marie  and welcome to the UK DIS boards!

It sounds as though you have already done a lot of your planning, but if you need any help with anything, ask away - there's usually someone, somewhere who will know the answer.

November will be here before you know it but, in the meantime, you're in the right place to share the excitement of the build-up ;)

 Hi Jinxy!!

Welcome to the DIS ! You will be able to see all the parks decked out with the Christmas decorations - are you thinking of going to Mickey's Very Merry Christms Party too?

Hi Marie and welcome!!

We will be at WDW at the same time. We are going on 30th Nov.

It is a brilliant time to be there. All the parks are decorated for Christmas I would recommend getting tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP), we are going on the 4th Dec. IMO it is well worth the $'s spent. There is also the Candlelight Procession which is also worth seeing. You can info. about both of these events at http://www.wdwig.com

Good luck with all your planning. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Catherine
