Hi guys

Well we are into the 6th day of our very first visit to DW and are absolutely LOVING it!!
The weather is hot (unseasonably warm for this time of year we are told) but had quite a bit of rain yesterday which I actually really liked as it just stays so warm!

Have done a bit of MK, most of AK, most of Epcot, and a teeny bit of HS so far.
DH & DS have gone to the pool this morning while I chill here for a bit....hence catching up on my emails etc.
Theres more food than you can shake a stick at and it is all just well......bloomin great! :cool1:

Thanks for the help and tips a lot of you gave me before hand. It's been very
useful. :thumbsup2

Great to hear you're having a great time.........it's nice to have some warm rain for change :rotfl:

Fingers crossed the weather stays good for us when we arrive in a week :)

Glad you are all have a wonderful time. I take it you will be joining the 'saving for next year gang' now?! :rotfl:
Throw some of the excess heat this way...its way to chilly:laughing:

Merlin - I bet you can't wait!! Yeah I think the forecast looks good for the foreseeable if not just a tad cooler than it has been.

Definitely Vanda lol. I think this will always be the destination of choice from now on ;)

I'll try and bring some sunshine back with us! Not looking forward to going home even though we have 8 days left :woohoo:

Great to hear from you. Hope you had a fantastic 37th Birthday :bday: Did you get a badge?

Hope you are enjoying Saratoga Springs, whats you favourite resaturant so far?

Enjoy the rest of your trip.:thumbsup2

see? just like i tell everybody before their first trip to WDW - it's a terrible mistake to go, because once you've gone - that's it.
You will be driven to go again and again and again and again and again......

have a wonderful rest of your time there!! i'm jealous!!!! :)

Lovely to hear you are having a great time! My sister got there yesterday and even though I'm going in 2 months, I'm still so jealous! Being Florida greedy is allowed right?

Ooh Saratoga Springs, lucky you! Glad you're having a great time - 6 weeks for us!

Thanks wayneg :goodvibes I had a great day although I have to admit I didn't let on to anyone it was my birthday as I'm a bit too embarrased to have a fuss made
You know what, all the evening food establishments have been fab, but last night's Brown Derby at HS was just gorgeous! I have taken lots of pics so may do a little TR on my return.....maybe.

Yeah, your definitely right disneyholic family, that's it, we've well & truly got the bug ::yes::

Lol Lisa, don't worry, we'll all be the jealous ones when were back in old blighty and your having the time of your life here :)

Flortlebap, Saratoga Springs is lovely, were so glad we chose it. We wasn't sure at first as thought it might be quite far out but it's not at all. Beautiful and a great choice. Is that where youre staying?

The first time I went I was about 26 year old, there would have been no chance of me wearing a badge, now I am 45 and done about 30 trips I would wear a badge every day of the trip if it was my Birthday, actually the last couple of years we have been celebrating our Anniversary while there in August, even though its a few days after we return, I think 23 years of a fantastic marriage is something to celebrate. Plus it gets us the odd card, drink or cup cake;)
So you will change after a few trips.:thumbsup2

Never eaten at Brown Derby, we always do Mama Melrose in there and get the fantasmaic package.

Glad you like SSR, we prefer OKW just around the corner but many like SSR.

Wow Wayne, 30 trips!!! Have you ever considered moving here?
We did the fantasmic package too with the brown derby. The show was great!
I've heard a lot of people mention OKW so maybe that's one to consider on our next trip.

Anyhow seeing as you are obviously an expert on all things Disney, you don't happen to know a good place to get your hair done do you?
DH asked conceierge for me this morning but they told him Epcot was the nearest place which is a bit dissapointing as the day I want to get it done we will be going to MK. I would have thought they'd have had a salon on resort.
Just wondered if your DW may have been anywhere?

Unless it isn't there anymore there was one at grand Floridian.

I still need to come home and earn enough to pay for more trips. Our son hopes to live and work out there eventually but he has 3-4 years at Uni first.

DW has never had her hair cut out there, I think the one at GF is still there, had a quick read and prices seem to be from $60 if its still there.
Same price at swan & Dolphin if this price list is still upto date http://www.mandaraspa.com/files/ms/WDWSPAPriceList.pdf

Offsite will probably be cheaper, I believe there are ladies from the UK set up hairdressing businesses but I have no idea where.

We are staying at Coronado Springs, it was much cheaper. I like the location of SSR though as we usually spend a lot of evenings at DTD!

So glad you are enjoying yourselves. We're not far behind you!

Flying out on Wednesday.

Did you book a package or DIY holiday? With the discounts at OKW/SSR its cheaper for most to stay at OKW/SSR, unfortunately tour ops don't pass the discounts on.
I just priced up for 3 weeks (incl 3 x 21 day tix) next year OKW £3,799, CSR £4,050 but £630 of that is upgrading to DDP as the QSDDP would be of no use to us. If we could manage with QSDDP then it would be slightly cheaper at CSR.
