(Sorry if this a double post, my computer wasn't running well before, but I don't think i was able to post it.)
Greenhorn - 1. An inexperienced or immature person, especially one who is easily deceived. 2. A newcomer, especially one who is unfamiliar with the ways of a place or group.
(Just incase you didn't know what a greenhorn was.)
My friend is currently in WDW, and I was telling her everything, what not to miss, etc., you know how it goes! Anyway she is staying for 5 days at the GF, but not in the main building.
Its her first time going to WDW but she wasn't into it as much as I/we are. So, she arrived at WDW around 10 am on Friday, and when she arrived her room wasn't ready, so she rode the monorail? I don't know for how long, but she just rode it for no reason. Anyway after that she finally went to the MK at about 1, and rode Space Mountain, but nothing else. So she went back to the GF and just sat? untill her dinner reservations. But after dinner, she did nothing, just hung around at the hotel.
So the next day, she doesn't arrive to Epcot at rope drop as I told her to do, lol. Anyway she was there from about 10:30-4:30 and only did mission space, and ate at Italy. She said she walked through the countries so im assuming she didn't really "visit" any of them. But she got fastpasses for Soarin' which i specifically told her not to miss!!!! But she didn't feel like waiting an extra hour for her time to come so she left Epcot only doing two things pretty much! Also later that night she ate at Flying Fish, which is excellent, but it's what she did afterwords, nothing! she didn't do anything! For two straight nights she just stayed at her hotel doing nothing! Typical greenhorn thing to do. I was simply appalled.
Then today I was talking to her while she was in MGM, she had ridden ToT, RnR, The Great Movie Ride, and Sounds dangerous. Three of them are great, and I told her to do all three of those, but Sounds Dangerous?!!? I'm pretty sure I told her not to do that. So then she said she was bored, and there was nothing left to do, and I said, Go do Muppets 3-D, and she said she didn't feel like sitting. Isn't it usually the other way around!? So I said do Star Tours, because at least you are kinda moving, and she said no it sounds stupid! Then I was shocked!
Am I being too harsh on her? Should I not get that worked up over her doing so little! I keep you posted on the rest of her trip! Feel free to share similar stories about these greenhorns!
