Questions about the Green Cabin Room at Disney's Vero Beach Resort:

1) Good/Bad? Did you like it?

2) How late is it open?

3) Is there usually a band playing at night?

4) I know there is a limited food menu, how was that?

I am looking for something to do with my wife at the end of the day, and this looks interesting.

:thanks:

Loved it. Intimate, cozy. Friendly. Excellent service. Mostly big chairs, small sofas, chess set-tables. Food was bar-type food but good. We had spiked coffee, dessert, etc. There is an outside seating area which renders a beautiful view from the second floor even at night when you can't really see anything but can hear the ocean and look out at the millions of stars. There is live music (I believe it was every night while we were there earlier this month). We only saw a one-man band, but he was good--relaxing.

Have a great time. We just came back on the 21st & I'm already jealous!

We love the GCR...

It's open pretty late.. Latest I think I've been there is midnight, but I'm sure it goes later.. :cool1:

Pretty much there is always a lounge singer/band/DJ playing at night... You will see who is there at night on the Activities list...

The food is a limited... They get their food from the kitchen in Shutters... Mostly appetizers.. Hamburgers, etc... It all depends on the time of day.. For lunch, you get a fairly descent lunch menu.. After Shutter's closes down, I think their menu shrinks..

I appreciate your responses. This is exactly the information I have been looking for. :thumbsup2

We have three kids. Their ages in July, when we go, will be 10, 11 & 16. The Green Cabin Room sounds like the perfect escape for my wife and I to go relax for an hour each night after a whole day of talking & entertaining the troops. :teeth:

The kids are perfectly happy staying in the room watching T.V. or a movie. :happytv:

GCR is really very nice.

My sister and I did a girls only trip back in April. After spending the day at the beach and the pool, we decided to have a light dinner there. We sat outside, had a few drinks and couple of their flatbread pizzas. We watched the cruise ship leaving from PC and even saw the Magic on the horizon. It was a great place to spend the last day of a great stay.
