Greece - Book Now or Later...

So, I think (fingers crossed) we are pretty set on going to Greece on the July 6 departure date (darn you July 3 for having a wait list!) for our honeymoon. We are getting married June 23 and unfortunately Australia, our first choice, leaves 3 days earlier and the later departure is just well too late. In either event, very excited for Greece!!!

So, here is the dilemma: do I book now and not risk the trip selling out or wait until October and see if AbD announces any good promotions. Last time I we took an AbD we received the free cruise (booked for this December!).

I have the same dilemma. My son really wants to go and is at an age where we have sports all summer. There are very few dates we can pick from...and I think some dates are going to fill up fast for Greece.

We are going to book this week. Rates are almost always lower earlier and we can look for airfare over the next few months and get at the best price... And I would be SO bummed if we didn't get out date.

Some of the travel agents seem to have better deals/early booking discounts. We have never done that before but I am going to investigate

I would think that normally waiting is fine but given that the Greece trip is new there is likely some pent up demand. I heard that the 6/22 trip sold 60% the first day. Accordingly, I would not wait.

Seeing it is your honeymoon, I would go with getting the trip booked vs waiting for a "perk" and maybe missing out on the trip you really want to take!

You only get one honeymoon!

The Greek Odyssey Adventure is booking very well.

It's my understanding that several dates are close to selling out.

I would not expect to see any ABD promotions any time soon.

I think you should book the date already. I just checked their Rates and Dates and the July 6 trip price went up already which means it is nearly full.

If this is the trip you have your heart set on, I would book it now. For somebody like me who would be happy with several of the itineraries or dates it's safe to wait. But if you really want this trip for your honeymoon, I don't think it's worth the risk.

Thanks for the heads up here and to everyone too for the advice! We were able to book with the reduced rate (thanks to the magic of our travel agent) and are all set for our July 6 departure to Greece!

Congratulations, adambomb! There seems to be a trend here. Engaged on an ABD. Honeymooning on an ABD. Maybe there will be a first anniversary ABD in your future too!
