greatest chances for pixie dust--in person or on line check in?

We're going in NINE DAYS! NINE!!! So excited I could scream.
it's our 4th trip as a family--but DH and I went for our honeymoon and this is our 15th anniversary trip to each other. It's our first time staying at CBR. I won't lie--I'm hoping for a little pixie dust on this trip!!
Which do you think would get a higher sprinkling of pixie dust--checking in on line and seeing what happens or checking in in person and being so sweet and charming that pixie dust just spontaneously bursts over the whole resort??
and what WOULD be the most-pixie-dust-possible-place to be at CBR?!?

Checking in online or in person has no bearing on getting some pixie dust. It is doled out when it benefits the resort. And asking for some at check in will almost guarantee you won't get any. It's best to go in NOT expecting anything. Then if you do get some, whoohoo!!

I hope you guys have an awesome trip. We absolutely love CBR and it is our favorite Moderate. If you haven't made any requests yet, Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are just a short trip across the bridge from OPR and the Main Pool. The walk over the bridge is beautiful in the mornings.

Good strategy.. usually I'm so freakin happy to have arrived at the front desk of my hotel and in such a good mood at that point.. that's all the pixie dust I usually need! LOL

In my experience, pixie-dust happens when you aren't looking or hoping for it. They are mind-readers and if you are even thinking of chances of pixie-dust it doesn't happen. Just go with the flow and you'll likely find pixie-dust where you least expect it!

Pixie dust has to do with overbooking of the resort, maintenance issues, refurbishments that take rooms out of inventory, people who have to stay an extra day due to the fact they cannot get home due to weather issues, or the CM has had an opportunity to do so, etc.

It has nothing to do with online check-in vs. checking in when you get to the resort.

We never do online check-in and this has not necessarily been our experience. Last year we did get bumped up to a suite at the GF (RPC) without asking but we also asked for a specific room at the WL upon check-in and even though they couldn't accommodate that request they put us in one of the Jr. suites instead.

Again, whether you check in online or wait till you get to the resort had no bearing on how you get an upgrade...... you just happen to have gotten there at the right time to check-in.
