great wolf lodge

I just got back last weekend. I paid $119 for a wolf den suite- best deal I have had yet.
I booked over a month ago, I dont remember what the code was. I got it in an email

Well if you remember please let me know! :goodvibes

Thanks for the swim code, summerluv. I called to see if they could change my reservation using the promocode and they did. I just saved another $15, which is enough for a magi quest activation. Maybe I can even convince dh to book another night.

If there's availabilty on the following night, they sometimes slip a special second night offer under your door shortly after your arrival. We've gotten that offer several times when the second night would have been a sunday-thursday. It's been between $99 & $129 a night depending upon what room type we were in.

Of course, the second night offer is never guaranteed, but you could plan on staying until 10 pm waterpark closing time and book an inexpensive reservation for the additional night that can be cancelled without penalty at another nearby hotel just in case you're not offered the second night deal. :goodvibes

What is the likelihood that they would cross-check the Swim code? (Since it's for repeat guests)

I think it would entail a lot of work on their part to determine whether or not you have have ever been there. For all they know, your hubby booked a room in his name, you attended a bday party, were a guest of another person, etc.

I was just at the Williamsburg Lodge this past weekend and I used the repeat visitor code and it was our first visit. I had no problem, so enjoy. Just be warned if you get a room on the lobby floor especially one of the first rooms near the lobby, it's going to be noisy with kids running thorough the halls going to and from the lobby. It was highly annoying to us, but it was me dh and ds (14).

On this same train of thought...
I'm looking for rates to go to Poconos Great Wolf, but not till the end of February...
Every code that I've tried comes up as invalid.
Is this because I'm looking to book too far in advance?
I really would love to be able to afford the experience. but for our family of 5, the rates that they are quoting is more than $300/ night...not happening...
hoping to find a code that will work.

Thanks for that tip. We've been twice before and have never been offered a second night at a discounted rate. I'm hoping our luck will change. We usually end up staying til about 6pm the day we check out. We live about 90 miles away, but depending on traffic, it can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 1/2 hours.

My advice is to keep looking for codes as they do appear. We were just there Monday night and had a ressie for 4 for $116. We ended up bringing a friend which added another $40 but they upgraded to another room.. We've been there before - mostly on school in-service days and the crowds were minimal. Unfortunately Tuesday (election day) was packed as all of the Pa schools seemed to be out and it was hard to get a chair unless you got there at the water park opening. I second the suggestion about bringing your own food. The food there is pricey and the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators.

We're considering staying at the Charlotte-Concord location and I'm wondering if there's a place to see how much the 'extras' cost like the stuffing station, cub club etc.. I signed up to receive emails, but nothing so far. Thanks! :goodvibes

Keep in mind that they often have bounceback offers available to book before you check out ... I don't think the prices are that much different than carefully watching for a code, but if you have a school calender handy, you might want to bring it along. :)

Can you use the water park the day you check out? I know you can use it the day you check in starting at 1:00 but what about check out day?

You can use it until the water park closes on the day you check out. Nice perk, huh? :)

Just booked a family suite for 5 people, $159/night for Thanksgiving weekend. The code I used was SCOUT. Also came up with some $189/night rates for Christmas week.

I had to call the Williamsburg hotel directly to find out prices on some "extras" - the car racing, magicquest, teen space and then there is arcade too and don't forget the treat shop and gift shop.

The room price, with codes, is not bad considering that it includes waterpark access for two days. But all the " extras" could really make the final tab more than I want to pay.

Each of our three sons will get some money to spend as they like. If they want to spend more than what we give them, they can spend their allowance.

We don't do all the extras. Well, we did do MagicQuest one visit, but my mom paid for that. It actually was pretty neat and you can use the wand over and over. We won't even go IN the arcade or the candy shop. Same thing for the mini golf. You can do all that elsewhere.

We do this too! The room comes with fridge and microwave. We have brought buns and one of the frozen microwave lasagnas or shaved beef in sauce. Don't forget veggies/fruit and dip or muffins. :thumbsup2

I think $190 is very decent too. Don't forget that INCLUDES entrance to water park for 2 days for a total of 4 people. Consider a water park entrance to be AT LEAST $20/day and that would be $160 total just for the water park entrance.

The best way to save money here, IMO - is to bring your own food. Ours, Niagara Falls location, has frig and micro in every room. We usually bring leftovers for dinner on arrival night (calzones, pizza, pasta, mac n cheese, we even bought and brought fish fries last time) and sandwiches (usually in the car on the way there) for lunch on arrival day. We bring bagels and donut holes for breakfast in the morning. And then we usually do buy lunch on our check-out day (easier since we're checked out of the room at that point, although we usually have grapes or chips in our bag so that we can split a few of the meals and not buy one for each).

I think that's a great rate. The best rate I ever got (on Expedia) was $155/night and that was 3 years ago - haven't seen that one in a couple years.

I think $190 is a great rate too! :goodvibes We booked for $235 during Thanksgiving weekend and that was WITH a promo code too! Have fun!!!:goodvibes
