Great Wolf Lodge - VA or NC?

I'm not really sure where to put this, so please move if needed.

I'm looking at planning a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. We're equally distant from the one in Concord/Charlotte, NC and the one in Williamsburg, VA. It'll be a quick trip, just one night. Is one significantly better than the other? I know prices at the Concord location seem to be a bit cheaper.

Any tips for GWL newbies?

We recently stayed at the Concord location for the first time in February for one night. We had a great time and the kids absolutely loved it. The water park was great. There was several restaurants to choose from. The kids also enjoyed the arcade. We would stay there again. We live less than an hour away and there is an outlet mall (Concord Mills) close by with great stores.

I've only been to the Williamsburg one (several times) so I can't compare. The rooms are musty smelling and the food gets old quickly. But the water park is great. For one night it's a great stay. I'd probably look at cost and distance to decide.

We just got back from the Williamsburg one a couple of weeks ago. We had an amazing trip. We haven't been to the Concord one. If they have the same basic water park, I'd go with the cheaper option.

We have been to both. The concord one feels newer and more renovated. The Virginia one has the flowrider and the concord one doesn't. overall I prefer concord, but I have not been to Virginia one in a few years and they have improved

We haven't been to VA, but have been to NC, PA, and MA. Concord is by far the best out of those 3. The set up of the water park is great and they also have an outdoor section (if your going in warmer weather). MA set up is HORRIBLE...2 separate rooms and everything seemed smaller in scale. They did have a cool rope course though that was included.
