We are going to Cedar Point this summer and I just got a great deal at Great Wolf Lodge. i had looked at their prices a couple of years ago and thought they were very expensive. Just thought I would check it again and I was very pleasantly surprised. We have three children (ages 16, 14, and 10) so a normal hotel room is quite cramped. We have done it before, but I wanted something a bit larger this time since we would be staying 3 nights. I got the Kids Cabin Suite which has a king size bed, a set of bunk beds and a twin bed and paid $167 a night. There is also a balcony or patio and each room has a mini-frig and a microwave. The waterpark makes it all the more desirable! When I checked a couple of years ago, the rooms were near $300. This was an earlybird special and had to be booked before May 7th. I checked other hotels near Cedar Point and the ones that had even so-so reviews were at the $130 a night mark. And that was a normal small hotel room. I will gladly pay the extra $40 a night for a big room and access to a waterpark. We aren't doing a big vacation this year, but we wanted to do something together as a family. As the kids get older they are gone more, so it is important to use to spend some time together away from cell phones and internet! LOL!
