Hi..
I am taking my family to great wolf lodge next Weds, we used the Heroes code and got the family suite for $168...well I want to stay 2 nights, and I only booked 1 in advance because I have heard of other locations offering a discount on the second night by like slipping a flyer under the door the next morning. Has anyone had this happen at Concord? I wonder what the chances are in August....it is mid week but maybe this happens more like in Dec/Jan?? any advice would be great. thanks

I have stayed at the great wolf lodge many times (Wisconsin dells) and have never have a flyer slipped under the door to stay an extra day at a discounted rate. I have received e-mails after our stay for discounts on future visits.

Now, if Concord does do this type of advertising then I would guess the rates to be a discount off the full price rates which would probably be close to the discount you are currently receiving. I would not risk it; August is the last month before kids go back to school and is usually packed with families taking a last minute mini vacation.
we have Also stayed with discounts (I think it was the heroes code too, wife is a nurse) and I can tell you that there was not one room available in January during our visit and check in was about 1-1/2-2 hours:scared1:.

Thanks for your replies...From what Ive read the offers for 2nd nights are like $99 or $129 which would be worth it even with the discount Im getting already....but again I know it is a risk. I only live 45 minutes away so I think I may chance it, we could always go again another time....hmmmm....decisions decisions.

We stayed at GWL in Concord in early July. We stayed one night and did not receive any offers for an extra night. What we did is checked out at 11 and put all our stuff in the van except a change of clothes. We then went and took advantage of the water park until early evening. We had orginally planned to stay two nights but took someones advice to only stay one and was glad we did. It's fun but we were ready to get home. You can only take so much swimming and after two days of it even the kids were ready to go. HTH's and have fun!

I really appreciate that. I think we may end up in the same boat and not want to stay another night....that was another reason I was leary of booking two nights!!

When our roof was being repaired last June we stayed at the Grapevine Texas location. I booked only one night, but when the roofers were delayed, I asked the front desk about staying another night and I got a discounted rate. I think it was $150 or something? We were staying in the family suite on a weekday. The additional night was cheaper than the repeat visit rate we paid on the first night.
We leave sunday for a two night booked stay in a Kid kamp room - more expensive, but the kids loved the bunk beds when we stayed last Fall. We are using a 20% off rate. Might inquire how much to stay a thrid night. The kids LOVE great wolf and we live only 20 minutes away :)

We booked one night for 129.00 in PA and decided to stay a second night...no flyer under the door though and the second night ended up being 269.00!

We stayed in Concord in April (last week) and received a flyer under our door. I don't remember the price, might have been $129. The first time we went, June, we did not receive a flyer.

If you do not get a flyer just call the front desk. Have not done that at GWL but lots of places and got a discount every time! I agree to check out if you decide not to stay and then you can use the water park the rest of the day!! We are 30 minutes from the concord location.

How did you get the PA location for $129. I have never seen any rate THAT low. Please tell me your secret. Thanks

We just stayed at the one in Washington State in mid-July, on a weekday, and they didn't offer us any discounts or anything on an additional night. We stayed 2 nights. Only thing under the door was our receipt!

Thanks everyone....I am pretty confident in my decision now to only book one in advance, if I dont get the elusive "flyer" we will probably call down and ask about extending....or just go home. I won a gift card so I am trying to stretch as many nights out of it as possible....I appreciate the advice!!!
