I just got the same email. I do wish they were open in time for my November trip. I cancel Legoland and go there instead. My kids love Legos, but nothing tops waterslides.

The prices aren't bad for the rooms, but the resort fees are sort of a deal killer. I was thinking of tying in a Great Wold Lodge stay with a trip to Universal Studios once the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens this spring, but I may just have to keep an eye on the prices to see if they go down further.

Thanks for posting this! Odd, I signed up for their e-mail list, but didn't get the promo. I made a 1 night reservation for spring break, it will be brand spanking new. A little pricey, so I intend to make full use of the facilities for 2 whole days.

According to this LA Times article, the Lodge will have frequent shuttle service to Disneyland. The website itself doesn't have the info about frequency or cost.
