We just got back from WDW doing the QSDD (free of course), just DD and myself. We had a hard time using the snack credits and at checkout found we had 10 left over (no, we didn't skimp on the shakes, ice creams and dole whips while there 6 days). DD is in middle school and wanted to bring back something for her teachers but we wanted to make it a token gift since she has 5 subject teachers and "we're on a budget". Throughout our stay she had noticed the "cute" candy boxes with Disney sayings on them. Last day we find out that they can be used as snacks... Great... burned all our leftover credits before running out to the airport (think they're $4 each.. a bit steep for what's inside). DD had already gotten an inexpensive key chain (mickey ear decorated styrofoam) for each teacher (in T of T gift shop) so we added box of candy to make the gift seem a little less "cheap". Boy, the candy was made a real hit with the teachers. We gave each one a different box which had different chocolate inside. The teachers had a "candy buffet" dessert at lunch time and really enjoyed the gift. DD felt great that she didn't come home empty handed and I was glad that even though the gift was a token (we're doing gift cards for end of year gift) it was really enjoyed... not another coffee mug or picture frame.

This sounds like an awesome idea. Where did you purchase the boxes at? TIA

We did something similar to this on our last trip. DD wanted to purchase gifts for all of her classmates and since that wasn't going to happen we ended up buying disney PEZ dispensers for all of them (if I remember right, they were about $1 each) then we used our extra snack credits to buy the bundles of goofy candy co. sucker packs and divided those. We ended up with 2 or 3 disney snacks for each of her classmates so we made small gift bags when we got home.

We used ours to bring home Mickey Rice Crispy treats for teachers and friends.

There's so many cute gift ideas to use snack credits on.

I personally LOVE the rice crispy treats, although I prefer the really big mickey head one. Not so much a fan of the dipping they use on the smaller ones.

we did something like that back in 2008 we had over 20 snack credits left over from our deluxe dining (upgraded from the free base plan)
we bought tons of boxes of candy and threw them in with all our nieces and nephews Christmas presents..
it is a great idea....

That was really nice to your daughter and you. You can never go wrong with chocolate :thumbsup2.
