Spent 4th - 6th March at DLP, staying at the Explorers.

We had a fantastic time and got loads in from our list of things we wanted to do.

The only let down was the lack of Disney Princesses. DLP's own character guide sheet stated that the Princesses would be on the Fantasyland Stage between 10-12.30 each day, however there was no sign of them. We asked a couple of members of staff - one said that they "weren't on" and the other didn't know what we were talking about!

My daughter saw them on the parade but it would have completed a great day if she could have met them in person. Oh well, we bought annual passes so will just have to go back again soon and try again!!!

One thing I must mention, this was my 4th visit to DLP (1995, 2000, 2005 and 2007) and I was really pleased to see the park looking fantastic, almost new again. Previous trips were a little dissapointing with the park looking dated with paint breaking off etc... however the standard this year was much much higher. As was the service....

Now back to plan our return!

Oh that is a shame you didn't see the Princesses.Gives you an excuse to go back.

I think with the 15th Anniversary they are putting a lot of work in to make it sparkly again. Glad to hear their work is paying off:wizard:

Hi dgutte.

You were in the same hotel at the same time as us!!!! We went 2nd-7th March.

I specifically asked in City Hall when and where I could see the princesses and I was told that it was not happening at all and for the forseeable future. She did not know when or if it was re-starting again. She said that the 15th anniversay will be starting at the end of the month and for the month of March she says the whole of the princess meet and greet as stopped.

My daughter was desperate. I even put on this form that it was one thing that was a MUST!! She never got to meet them but we are going back at Christmas so hopefully it is up again.

oh what a shame. my dd is going to be disapointed too.

The princesses are not appearing at the moment, because they are busy rehearsing for the new parade.

I know that the entertainment cast at DLRP is about 500, but still it is the unfortunate case that no princesses can make it to meet guests in person until April 2nd 2007.

Sorry for any dissapointment, I know many people were/are upset by this.

It is a shame for people going before then, but it's very good to have a date for when they will be back again. Thanks Tom :)

Thanks for the update, at least I can now tell DD before we go to save any big disappointment at the time.

yes we noticed this too. our dd was upset she didn't get to see her princess
but never mind next time.
also we thought the place was very clean & tidy

Hi,

We were there 12th-16th March and my Cinderella obsessed 3 year old was really disappointed that she couldn't 'meet' Cinderella. We did watch the Princess parade twice (daily 4pm) which was fine but no Snow White?? I'd have thought she should have been on there!

Never mind - will just need to take her back again then eh?....!;)

Glad you had a great trip. We saw Cinderella :) On the last day she came out a door, walked past us and said hello. There were about 12 characters, heading in the same direction, not stopping for autographs or photos though.
