Great Time Was Had!!!

OK, last year, I posted a rant about how miserable of a time I had in Universal Studios during my 2008... What I posted at that time was how I truly felt based on some past experiences... HOWEVER, as someone who is open minded and willing to admit my mistakes and admit I am wrong, I decided to give Universal another chance during my two week stay in October 2009... (I know we are in January 2010, so this is a few months late, but, I also haven't been active here for a few months due to work and personal obligations)...

Anyway, based on my prior experience and complaint, Universal Guest Services was kind enough to offer two free park hopper tickets for me and a guest on my upcoming trip... So, I took advantage of it... Honestly, I was looking forward to seeing the park again...

I am not going to go into a whole entire report on my day there... However, I can say this: I had a great time this time around... I met some nice, very nice employees... I enjoyed the rides tremendously... Universal and Islands of Adventure didn't convert me to a full fledged fan just yet, but, it won me over enough that I will visit again on my next trip to Orlando...

P.S. I am secretly excited over this Wizarding World of Harry Potter section... Can't wait to start reading about the experiences once this land officially opens...

Although I am not returning to Orlando in 2010, I plan on being there in 2011... And I may take out two days of my trip to visit Universal and Islands of Adventure, especially with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter set to open...

Glad you gave it another try! I remember the first year it was open; I was in Orlando and heard such horrible things that I avoided it like the plague. Finally went a couple of years later, had a blast, and continued going on every FL visit till we moved down here...now we have Uni APs. Definitely check out Harry Potter. It is going to be amazing.

WWoHP will be one of the main reasons I go back... I really want to see the job they do with this new land... The art work released makes it look fantastic... The construction photos I have seen makes it look like there is even more detail that the art work shows....

Was everyone happier? The reason I ask is because sometimes one negative person in the crowd can make such a huge difference to the experience. However, when everyone is going with a really positive frame of mind, everyone seems to have a much better time and just view things differently and notice different things.

The day we went in 2008, we were all in a good mood until "the incident" as I call it now... This year, we went back, in a good mood as well... One of my friends and I kept our minds more open though, because we wanted to make sure we enjoyed the day at the park.. And we did... And honestly, I'm glad we did...

LOL... I'm just a little upset we couldn't get on Rip It that day.... There was a train stuck at the top of one of the hills, so there was some obvious malfunctions going on.. But, that didn't put a damper on things... We just rode Mummy 3 times and Spiderman 4 times...
